I've moving! After a dramatic apartment hunt, I found the Beijing apartment of my dreams. In this video, I'm taking you along on as I move out of my old apartment and into a new one in Beijing, China. You'll see me pack up all of my stuff, the full on moving process and a tour and unmakeover of my new apartment.
You'd think that moving in Beijing as a foreigner is stressful, but the truth is.....it's not!

i love the new apartment omg i've always thought lofts were cool. I would not be able to control myself when buying things for a new apartment. i think adding some plants would be a nice touch!

Right?! I've always wanted to live in a loft! But they are SOOOO expensive back home so I'm very lucky that I snagged one in China. And best believe I have order soooo many different things for my apartment and its getting out of control!

Aleese , as we all know , moving is an ORDEAL , but you persevered and truly succeeded , your new apartment is looking good , I'm catching a warm mellow vibe just viewing the place , the only change I would attempt is the couch in the living room , I would prefer a single couch , but other than that , place looks great , so happy for you , put on some Teddy Pendergrass , and start unpacking , hope you have a very " Merry Christmas " , and a fun filled ' Happy New Year " , here's hoping 2022 is a wonderful year for us all , God Bless

That disappointment was for the better!!! This one is so much nicer. That other landlord was something else; if she pulled that during the negotiations who knows what she would have been like in the future. Plus, your real estate agent was totally worth it; he looked like he walked you through everything. In another person's video they mentioned they are expensive but it seems worth it to me.

Hey Aleese love the videos, dope place. just thought id mention re the washer in your new apartment, when i was living in china those washers usually come with dryer functions built in which was pretty cool, not sure if thats the case with yours but you might wanna muck around with it and see.

We used to be use this cards back to 1990s , right now most of cities even in small town we pay by the Apps , surprisingly that area still using the cards

100000% worth it! They honestly work very hard for their agent fee. My agent Alex, continues to help me with repairs and moving furniture in my apartment.

What do you use to dry your clothes? Do you have one of those portable dryers?

One of the most environmentally friendly ways to dry your clothes....with air! hahahaha Just hang them on a drying rack and wait 2 days for them to dry.

To buy it outright? No idea….maybe a few million yuan. But as a foreigner, I don’t think I’m allowed to own property without a Chinese citizen owning a part of it.

I KNOW!! It's the first time I've had to learn the card systems. My previous apartments just had me pay through an app---Much easier! But it's a great topic to touch on in my next apartment video

A lot of countries actually don’t. I’ve lived in China and in England. And when I was in England Europeans said it was also common for most people to not have dryers. It’s for energy reasons also dryers do a ton of damage to clothes.

@John Doe ACtually my family has 7 people in it and we always wash out clothes and hang them up to dry except for our blankets and sheets bc they're too thick. In the summer, my mom would wash all of our clothes and we would it outside in (obv with a protector so bugs can't get in) and it'll dry in a few hours. Around late afternoon we would take it inside and fold it. In the winter we would hang it inside where it would take it longer time to dry but it's still convenient bc we just grab it whenever we need it lol

yup! You hang everything to dry on a drying rack. It takes awhile to get used to, but now that the heat is on in my apartment, things dry within a few hours.

I am Canadian and travel a lot for business outside of,China. They want u to register every time u come back but no one really cares or checks on you. I have been in Beijing for 11 years and not once have they checked.
