is this test credible? i'm also considering doing one. i have a suspicion that i might be a part Jew, part Latvian. from recent information i got about my ancestors. and i been so anti-semetic my whole life. i would be blown away if i turned out to be Semite myself. Jezzz. i'm not quite sure what would i do and think.

+Petr Horák Latvians are dying out at super speeds. In comparison from a year 2000 to 2015 there has been a colossal 40% decrease of young children attending the first grade in schools. Mainly because big part of Latvians do not respect their own country, refuse to stay and build it strong, but rather flee to UK, Ireland and Scandinavia to get an instant better life. (why try hard if you can go somewhere else and everything is on the plate already) Somehow after gaining independence they thought that their country in 20 years will suddenly be as rich and stable as western world without not much hard work and input from themselves, and by so I mean strengthening the democracy, fighting against corruption etc. But they run away. The only excuse for them is that they send some part of their income back home, but the thing they dont understand is that if you are not participating in government elections, if you are not active politically, if you are not on the ground as a consumer and a generator of ideas, career, employment, protest and change in general - the country is going to procrastinate and eventually fail. Because of the low voting activity pro russian politicians are gaining more influence year by year, and because of the enormous emigration and very low demography its said that Latvians will be a minority in their own country in 30 to 50 years.

(why try hard if you can go somewhere else and everything is on the plate already) - isn`t that the advice for living successfull life coming from the west...? :))) First, you write such approach, after you accuse in nt being loyal. But people try. A least they try. And, we have to recognize - there are no borders any more... People work and stay in the place, where they can survive. Let`s stop this hypocricy.. Well, it's not really a nice little song. The words are written by Bronislava Martuzheva - latvian poetess and composer - she was sent to Siberia, and she lost her brothers. This song tells (the very simplified version, as the straight translation is quite hard to be explained to foreigners, because of all the symbols) - I went to all the roads looking for my brother. Like a bird in sorrow I went back to my homeland and made a home in an oak (latvian saint tree). Oak - you, the tree of my brother, you can ask the God for an answer - you, the one surviving all the human wars. (and the last part from 1'53)The earth sends me a message - it will send me to my brother! The wind broke down the oak, and all the acorns fly to the sky... So, sometime with our loved ones we can meet only after death. Not that little and not that nice.
