That team is far too good for him to play and look the way he has done for England. When he tailed off at the end of the season for Madrid nothing was made of it because as a collective the team was incredibly strong and it will be the same story.

@@KINGKING10109 I don't know 8 means in England games because structurally they were so bad but if Jude is playing his natural position (LCM) like he did vs Serbia then England will have more Jude but right now he isn't playing his natural position. Playing false #9 and wondering around and waiting the ball from rice is awful to watch. I England #10 position doesn't exist because there isn't space because so many traffic in that position! Saka is coming inside so foden, Kane and kobbie

leave the kid alone, he just dug out the entire team with a moment of brilliance that no other player in the squad could even dream of. I'm glad they have got away with murder, and I'm glad to hear Southgate and Bellingham having a go back at the media and cynics. England need to start hitting back at their critics, as I reckon that sense of defiance and beligerence can bring them together as a fighting unit. i.e. England need to learn to love to be hated, not be afraid of feel the pressure of that. It worked for Fergie's Man Utd, and I also remember Wimbledon's crazy gang back in the day had the same mind-set. It can lead to glory.

Saka is a predictable scapegoat. Saka has performed for England for over three years. For some reason Saka and Walker are not combining as a threat down the right flank. How on earth Phil Foden is surviving the criticism is beyond me. He’s never been a consistent performer for England. Bellingham is not getting dropped and Foden can play RW in the manner required. Foden must be dropped.

Someone needs to tell Jude and these other young English players that criticism (warranted or not) comes with the territory when you play professional sports. In my opinion, the best player having the most consistent performances for the England side over four games has been Guehi. If his replacement is not as composed with the ball at his feet, is not as calm under pressure, does not gel and combine as well with Stones as Guehi has then England will concede easy goals and be defeated by their opponent.

Bellingham and Kane bizarrely seem like both the solution and the problem for England. Over the last 4 games, they've barely offered anything in terms of effective attacking play. If all they're going to contribute are one or two individual moments, they may as well be dropped. Start the next game with Gordon and Toney or Watkins so at least we can try and get some fluidity in attack and bring Bellingham and Kane on in the second half.

English fans should learn from Argentina. We played terrible against Mexico and Messi got us of jail. Then when he missed the potential go ahead penalty against Poland, the entire fans backed him when they could’ve easily turned against him. The rest is history!

I don't mind him having an attitude as long as he backs it up on the pitch. We've seen a siege mentality like this before, in the run up to Euro 96, and if the players can use it as motivation to perform, then all the better.

Darren, as an ex baller ,very good one in my opinion. Let's call a spade a spade. We have been trying for the past 3 tournaments to fit Foden in, however if we played like city,then its all good .However we need width eg Eze,Gordon to allow fluidity and to allow Jude and others to shine. I like Foden ,however for England it's not ticking.

Winning mentality for the Bellingham haters = bad attitude and arrogance. 😅 A kid that just turned 21 two days ago, saved England twice, won UCL and La Liga player of the year, also playing and fighting with an injured shoulder that requires surgery, somehow people still want to drop him to put Foden at 10, ok. 🤷‍♂️

I think Jude is not complaining about criticism to the team, more about people criticising him. Basically he has played well in every game, bar the Denmark game. It's just that he is sat next to a couple of muppets at international level in Foden and Kane (at club level they are great, sometimes great club players are not great international players.) And of course he is sat next to an average manager at international level who has stifled his position. Ultimately he recognises the criticism of the team is justified, but not himself, hence the annoyance and response.

Pundits complain about players being sensitive but it goes both ways. They always ask players to not respond and do their talking on the pitch. Bellingham did that. This is the time for the pundits to respond and say, fair enough, we had a pop at the team and him, and he just shut us up. Instead, oh, he needs to calm down now, he’s getting too hyped!!!
