You guys are totally right. Netflix became a shit show after they took the star ratings away. Shows were trending there because they were actually good, not because of hate whatch/cringe watch. Couple years back, they canceled The Society, Anne With An E, and Julie and the Phantoms all were for teens/tweens. All decent shows that actually did well and had potential to become the one show that would popular because is good.

Personally I have hit that point where anything Dylan posts, I happily watch. Movie commentary? Love it! Gaming let’s play? I’m here for it! Random discussion about some pop culture thing I don’t actually care about? Sign me up! Whatever it is, Dylan can make it interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for all the videos and I can’t wait to see more on both your channels!

So true. Except I’d way rather hear him make fun of stuff I’ve seen before or at least heard of then some random movie that no one cares about. Either way it’s great! But like I love love rewatching the DCOM reactions and stuff and I low key miss that

@@madeleinehaddad1350 I get you. Personally I actually like it when he watches movies I don't really care about and would never see on my own, because I get to see what the movie's about while enjoying it much more than I probably would if I watched it without his commentary. Like Tall Girl, Kissing Booth, those Hardin movies, I would never watch any of those on my own because they are not my taste at all, but Dylan makes them enjoyable. But I completely understand you. It is fun to see him roast movies I've seen too.
@natashavelasquez18412 жыл бұрын
So true! I didn’t care at all about the Will Smith debacle, but then Dylan made a video… and I was like, yeah ok, I’ll watch it if it’s Dylan.
@k.a._135 Жыл бұрын
@@dheu I relate to what you said ! His commentary gives enough context to understand certain plot points in the movies he watches so you don't necessarily feel lost if you haven't watched it before. Plus he makes movies I'd never watch enjoyable so its an added bonus. I also enjoy his "first & last episode" series because I too do that when I don't care about the series that much to be invested in.

I got to know his channel through Dylan Is In Trouble, but it was still at the point where his first channel was still up. Seeing him talk about more of the more strategical side of things and even the struggles he faced is really interesting! I think he did pretty well with talking and giving his input on the topics but not over-doing it or interrupting the other person. He wasn't as rambunctious or crazily loud as he usually is on his own channel, but that makes sense since they're in a chiller setting talking about more serious matters. Still, his funny, dry sarcastic personality still shone throughout the video.

Dylan saying he had a "neutral" high school experience aligns with how I saw him. Basically that middle of the road kid who was good looking but not good looking enough to be the "hot dude", and athletic but not athletic enough they're being recruited by big schools.
@onuhrita50092 жыл бұрын
I feel they never created a category in school for the neutrals. I was neutral at everything even looks and sports... So I wasn't part of sporty clique or emo or fashion or whatever clique. I was just going through life and trying to avoid the bullies, got my normal grade and teachers just said I was OK. Leaving school and now people ask what clique will you rank under... I didn't have... So it's good to see I'm not the only one. Sorry it's long 😅

Long time Trouble-Maker here, I love Dylan's video game videos, I wish he did more. I binged like all of them when I first found him a few years ago. I'm so proud of Dylan and how he's grown over the years. I've known him for about 2 years (maybe more, who knows) now, and his content has been consistent in its value, from comedy to seriousness. He's got one of the best balances of having a quick, somewhat blunt wit and also being level-headed and analytical in his approach to commentaries and other types of videos he does. He acts silly and "dumb", and he's so funny, but his smarts always shine through, like how he can easily guess random plotlines from a drop of a hat, etc. He's incredibly reasonable with how he looks at real-life situations. This interview-format with Dylan was really cool because we actually don't know all that much about Dylan or even the behind-the-scenes stuff with his channel(s), and I find those things really interesting. We don't usually get to hear him give his own in-detail input on various topics on what happens off-camera, or like his early-channel experiences. I'd love for him to do more Let's Plays, because I'd watch them all.

as someone who watches a lot of movie commentary, and has been for a while, i have seen the growth of the genre and style, which i def think the dylan and trin style is the one that's been replicated the most, in term of look, no one really does what alex or pmi does, and i think it's beautiful that they're all inspired by the same people. like everyone will reference dylan at some point, and be like oh i learned this from dylan, or the first and last format, when they start it, the first video at least, they all say this is inspired by dylan by the way, so it's cool to see that he's seen as like the starting point of it all. and since there are so many people, there is a range of personality to choose from, like zzavid does mainly horror and has a very specific type of humour, movie in depth i go to for the musical theater performer aspect of it, rebecca rose feels like the person who grew up watching the same things as me so i can relate to her vibe, billybinges is like the dad/cool uncle that i sigh at, the movie budz are a duo and they're musicians, and they're like the cool chil laid back guys type thing, like they offer different things for the same movies or different movies completely, so everyone can find something they like. it does get overwhelming though, i watch too much youtube lmao
