Well I'm Dutch, and in the Netherlands moving to another town is not really a big deal, because it's a pretty small country and the public transport is really good here. A lot of people work and live in a different city, since most cities are less than 2 hours away. So if your mom is upset because you wanna move to a new town, then she's got issues.

You're such a sweet couple! Although I have no problems with dating (I'm in a happy couple myself!) and I'm listening to you out of curiosity, I'm glad that the dating experience I've gathered through my life overlaps with yours! This gives me proof that I'm on the right way!

To Mia - moving out I would add a few thoughts to this When I talked to my mom about moving out the first time she just replied "no" and I saked her what this means she told me that I can't move out. I asked her again why I can't move out besides my sisters both moved out years before. She tells me that it's traditional the youngest child that stays with the partents to take care of them. My parents some times old fashioned but this is not true anymore. I thought a lot about her argument. Not a single moment was this an argument to stay at home. But I think my mom couldn't imagine that I live alone (or with my boyfried). I'm pretty sure she was just worried I would starve on my one or something like that so she was against the move out. I'm also with Alex and Kelsey just do it and your mom will get used to it. And if it's an option for you, you can talk to her often at first. The moment she starts to accept that you're not always around your mom doesn't need it this much anymore and your phone calls can become less. Hope this answer is not to late ;)

Its funny to listen to you, even when I am in middle of your both ages. Yea last two years were terrible about my dating, job... But its getting better (I hope so, will se in friday) PS: I have almost "same" problem as that first girl, exept that I just want to move across my country (400km/250miles) and my parents "mum" is overbearing, so much that she built up fear, anxiety in me and my sis almost with everything. (but I am more reckless, so it's easier for me to "fight" with that upbringing)

I am now flashing back to high school and overhearing a girl saying, "I feel like I can't accept Rachel anymore because I think she's a lesbian." Rachel had a lot of rumors going around about her but she's married to a man now.

Fit clothing and good hair can boost one's attractiveness from a 5 to a 9, it just takes a bit of experimenting.

With the first email and to kind of defend the mum/mom a bit, if she's an only parent then you do tend to have a closer relationship with said parent or at least I do which can make it harder when you do separate and go off elsewhere, that and parents can worry alot from what they see/hear on the news and those are legit worries. I don't think it's just the parent being unfair/mother gothel per say.

As a current high school student some rumours last 3 years and will not stop becoming a problem for you. People are jerks. Also also while being gay is more openly accepted generally, there's still a bunch of lack of knowledge fueled casual homophobia since sex ed is lacking particularly in the LGBT department.

For instance I think the duty of kids is to take care of their parents like their parents took care of them when they were little. I cannot imagine going somewhere without taking my mom and taking care of her. But I guess that's because we are very compatible, she is an Enfj, I am an Infj (MBTI 16 personality types). So we have the same ideas and in general we live in harmony so there is no issue there. My father is a toxic narcissist and my mom had to separate from him when I was only a few months old bevause he was threatening my mental and emotional health woth his fits of rage and trying to get rid of my mom. So I only have her, my father continues to expect the world from me because... He's toxic. I wanna go to another country but my mom wants that even more 🤭 I just need to finish my final masters exam and then I'm good to go.

Yooo wth? What happened to the Devil Tango on Apple podcasts? Only up to ep 14 and then I find this?! All the way up to el 30 something then to top it off, no word of it being taken off. Instead there’s now a spin off podcast? These are they reasons why trust issues are instilled. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
