Norm Pattis is one of the most well known and recognized trial lawyers in Connecticut. Pattis is no stranger to controversy, having participated in the defense of at least one J6 defendant so it came as no surprise that he got involved in the defense of online provocateur and extremist Alex Jones in the Sandy Hook Defamation Trial in Connecticut. Jones was found liable and ordered to pay hundreds of millions of dollars. Norm Pattis sparred with the Koskoff lawyers, Chris Mattie, the judge, a courtroom of victims and survivors and intense media coverage - not to mention having to manage Alex Jones as a client. Norm Pattis joins me on the podcast to dissect the trial, the verdict, the judge, his strategy, the plaintiff’s lawyer and the media on the Killer Cross Examination® Podcast.

Great interview! I don't know much about law just happened to see Pattis closing statements in the Alex Jones trial. Pattis seemed to be a "character" so I decided to search for more of him, found this interview and oh boy I'm happy I did. He has courage, convictions, perspectives and he is well spoken and intelligent.

I felt like when that exchange happened between AJ and the lawyer during the cross was happening, it was kinda like a bait and a switch. He started a fight with AJ and when AJ would counterpunch on the lawyers inflamatory arguments the lawyer would be like look AJ is attacking these poor families when really AJ was attacking the lawyers inflamatory , biased and flawed arguments and i guess is was effective when you have a jury that that might not be very intellectual

I agree w/Norm so I don't understand why he doesn't appeal? It's not like AJ has that kind of $ so why not go for broke when yer busted for exercising yer 1st AMENdment rights?

1. For civil cases often a bond is set, and they don’t want too/can’t post it 2. Alex Declaring bankrucy likely shot himself in the foot on that front 3. He is only there because he stone walled defense (up to seemingly lying about medical emegerancies to the judge), alex and his lawyers caused their own grief
