One, since a lot of the comments are asking, the defendant in this case is Professor Joseph Schiele of Oakland University. He was found guilty. Two, I'm someone with ADHD who's also been cross-examined as a witness. Here's my thoughts: - I actually saw this video years ago and it made me realize that if I was ever in this situation, it would be my worst nightmare. It also prepared me for what to expect. I think this video was the single most important thing I've ever watched in preparation. - DON'T SPECULATE! In my daily life, I have to speculate a LOT because of gaps in my memory. I'm also hesitant to say "I don't remember" because, as I'm sure many other people with ADHD can testify, people have historically not believed me or been mad at me when I've said that (especially as a kid). It's normal for us to try to scramble and put 2+2 together quickly and give our best assumption of what happened. DON'T do this in court. If you don't know, don't remember, or aren't sure, say that! "I might have been given ketamine without my knowledge" is a pretty inocuous thing to speculate about, but see how the defense attorney handled it? - Don't volunteer information! As people with ADHD (and most people tbh) we like to volunteer the information we have to best answer someone + provide context, and because thinking out loud helps us remember. That's fine in normal conversation. It will not help you in cross-examination. - It's okay to ask clarifying questions! You can ask what is meant by "deceiving the police." I was asked a question like "has [plaintiff] recently accused [defendant] of [action] to you?" and I asked "what do you mean by recently?" for example. - I like that this witness stood up for himself. You don't need to do all of that, though! The judge & jury aren't interested in your ability to debate the attorney. They're interested in the information you can provide, and whether you seem credible. In my case, the defense attorney was really aggressive with me. I remained polite and soft-spoken (I was genuinely very scared!) and it made the attorney look so goofy that the judge stepped in a few times to make him chill out. - This witness seems believable to me. Yes, he committed perjury. "I didn't want to say I did coke in front of my dad" or tossing the xanax pills aside seems pretty understandable, though. That's pretty different than like, Alex Murdaugh lying to the police about not being at the scene of a homicide. - You have very few rights as a witness, but you do have the right to not self-incriminate. I'm not sure how pleading the fifth works when you have immunity. Talk to your lawyer about when it's okay to plead the fifth. You don't have to admit to crimes and end up in this situation. - Don't get riled up. Assume, going in, that you're going to have your character belittled like this. Keep your head high and stay calm. Pause before answering and keep it straight to the point. You're not the one on trial. Your job is to deliver information. As incensed as I got watching this, I want to thank the attorney for uploading this. Defense attorneys are an integral part of the justice system. And thank you to the witness too; I know that being cross'ed is nerve-wracking. Watching this definitely helped me prepare. I hope that this guy is doing well in life now ❤

People act as if they were there when the murders occurred. We will never really know the true story because the whole truth was never told. The statistics show that many women are murdered every year when they try to get away from domestic violence. No one is without sin, stop throwing stones. I can only hope God is still with the families from this gruesome loss. To lose a family member in this way must be horrific. No one deserves to be butchered the way Ron and Nicole were, stop playing.

This lawyer knew d@mn well that when the kid said "I may have been drugged even if I didn't know it," that it was an offhand hypothetical meant to reinforce the fact that he HAD done drugs every time he was there. He wasn't registering a new allegation, and said as much. Despite this, Rockind continued to muddy the waters to impeach the kid's credibility, which he could have - and did - accomplish without harping on that opportunity to distort the kid's words as something completely removed from what was both intended and conveyed. I don't blame him for doing so, necessarily, but once it was obvious the implication was not what the lawyer was hoping to establish - he kept trying to steer us all back into what we knew wasn't true. Sorry, but that's completely disingenuous. If I was drunk at a party six months ago and in telling you the tale later on, said "For all I know, I might have jumped off the roof and not known it, I was so messed up," you wouldn't take that as an admission of having done so. No one would. But apparently this character thought everyone in the room could be convinced otherwise if he sufficiently intimidated the kid into confusion. What an a-h0l3. And shame on the prosecution for not objecting more fervently during that exchange. They either knew what this self-styled beacon of litigation was up to and stood down, fell for the whole charade themselves, or were totally asleep at the wheel - each of which is inexcusable.

OJ was a likeable guy(At least on the surface). Seemed like a man's man and a straight shooter(No puns intended). I think part of what made him great also destroyed him. His drive, ego and narcissism gained him a fortune, but caused him to completely lose his mind when he was rejected by Nicole.

@@denisejohnson3578 No, I'm not saying Nicole was without faults. She might have been a nightmare for all I know. But to go as berserk as OJ did, and off 2 people in such a gruesome way, especially Goldman, was wrong. But jealousy and anger can get the best of someone sometimes. He was probably in a blind rage going over there that night or something. I don't think there's any way OJ didn't do it. And I believe he acted alone. You gotta admit, although charming and likeable, he was kinda crazy and egotistical, apparently.
