Agree everything I've heard the son that was killed was involved in a boat crash that resulted in a young woman's death. I've also read that Buster may be involved in the death of a young man in their property. And for the defendant he's just all type of rotten. I hate that he's discribed of being a people person (most narcissist are to the outside world) but yet he had no compassion when he stole from his clients or clients families that were already grieving over the loss of their beloved family member. In the ambulance AM gave many details about the incident. I worked as a emergency room nurse for several years. Patients with gunshots, especially head injuries, are traumatised. They tend to either be in shock or make no sense. There is alot of activity by the medical staff attending the patient. We tend to keep the patient calm and advise to not talk. The same actions are taken by the EMS. It is how we are trained. Obviously there is the exception to the rule.

As a nurse for 46 yrs so far....I agree with some of what you say to be sure. We always let the patient talk as much as they wanted in order to find out their thinking process. For example if they could recall what happened to them, were they afraid of anyone, last thing they remembered and so on. As a military spouse I have lived & worked all over US & overseas. It gave me exposure to a lot of communities & different techniques medically, all kinds of ppl. from all walks of life. Also worked at VA,military hospitals & clinics. Again diff. time frames from beginning till now. At VA hosp. talked with so many ppl. injured by guns, bombs, etc. they frequently talked about what they remembered before or after the injuries. Working on Psych ward fresh out of school as a graduate nurse waiting to take boards &/thank goodness our training was great. Passed within 4 points of perfect. Surprised me to say the least lol. I do not now nor ever have thought I knew it all or ever could begin to. So I speak from experience & training & continual ed. classes etc. I have also worked as a nurse/paralegal for several yrs. defending nurses, docs, hospitals etc. I described some of my experiences only to show a variety of exposures to many patients & families. When you have this level of narcissistic, lying, sociopath who can work ppl. is not near as unusual as ppl. think. His family in complete power in their county and surrounding areas, states was & is well known. From DA's that could have you arrested, prosecuted and ask the judge for the highest amount of punishment available. Doing this all the time knowing the person was innocent yet they needed "punished" by the family as an example of what happens to ppl. who question the family. This jury has either already been manipulated, threatened etc. So finding him guilty will be a bold and possible life ending decision for theirselves. Your experience in the ER must have been awesome. You have seen things most would struggle with just thinking about how things could happen to a body. Just wanted to acknowledge how I am grateful for nurses like you. Your stress levels of not knowing what is coming your way etc. makes you not only well rounded but also tough & caring. Thank you for working through Covid and doing a much needed and vital part of health care. The difference from life & death. I worked ER 30 yrs. ago for about 2 yrs. Nothing like what you do now. So much has changed since my days in ER. True hero you are. Again thank you for your work, you are appreciated.

I agree I bet a bunch of rocks haven’t been lifted with the whole family. Buster is not innocent either he allowed his alcoholic brother to use his id and try to drive a boat after the accident, and thinks his father is innocent. That’s wild to me, you don’t know you’re father if you’re telling the truth or you know him and you know he wouldn’t have done it alone maybe...but This was set up and him and Buster would be the beneficiaries to it. Someone doing this for Mallory would have done it to Paul alone or Alex, Buster and Paul … or the whole family all at once. Maggie dying was a way to get the houses in his name again without asking.

Here are the two slips by Alex: Here are the two admission glitches--first one: go to the 5:11 mark (in the youtube testimony replay link below) m and then right before 5:13 Alex says WHEN WE DROVE THE GOLF CART and then immediately corrects himself to say I DROVE....this occurs after Waters is popping him on where the golf cart was parked after the crimes. Waters was so entrenched in his moment he missed this. Next, start the tape over and go to the earlier 1:30-1:32 mark (1 being hour 30 being minutes, same above 5 being hour, 11 being minutes.) At the earlier 1:30-1:32 mark he says Maggie asked him to go to the kennels with him--then meanders about for 20 seconds and gets out of that mess. Waters missed that also. If Maggie was already at the kennels she wouldn't be asking him to go with her at that moment. Waters never asked him WHY he got up and drove down to the kennels which is when he could have immediately restated what Alex "gaffed" on to the jury-since when you lie, inadvertent truths come out. What likely happened is Alex rode with Maggie in the golf cart to the kennels, and came back without her because she was dead, and he did NOT park in his usual spot. Also, I want to point out that Paul's phone was literally down to 2% when he sent that snapchat video and the phone miraculously got it sent before dying. That was God wanting the truth to come out. Or, maybe Paul wanted a record of his father being there because subconsciously he knew something was wrong. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m7mags-jqduppn0.html

Had he not been such a liar, he'd have begun by saying "I was just shot in the head!" to the operator. He wouldn't have led with the longer, extended version of events/*excuse* seeing how urgent the situation. The whole "well, I had a flat tire, I pulled off the road, blah blah blah..." For God's sake, any normal person would be hysterical or somehow freaking out and yelling, "I've been shot! I need an ambulance! " But he's just like telling a story all casual-like. He always seems to offer up some stupid and seemingly non-important stuff because he's trying to plant inferences in people's minds. Like before the responding cop at the kennels could even ask, he was offering up "Well, my son was in a boat accident a good while back, etc." Trying to just get that cover story out there from the get-go. Dude's nothing if not consistent. I know that whole area will be able to breathe easier without the Murdaugh's lording over everyone. That must suck to have to share their air.

I have worked with individuals recovering from drug and alcohol abuse. I will say first hand it is not pleasant, in no way shape or form. He is correct when he states that someone who is withdrawaling will do just about anything to not be sick. Our brains are wired to protect our bodies, and because of this it can make some people do the unthinkable. Now granted it is NOT ok to take innocent lives, in no way shape or form. I'm just speaking on the addiction side of things. Someone who uses has large amounts of dopamine pumped into their brain at once, that's the chemical in our brain that tells us we are happy. When you go into withdrawal, your body now no longer knows how to naturally produce it on its own. They actually now have treatment centers that will put you to sleep so you don't have to feel that withdrawal state. This whole situation is a big mess and so very sad!

Alex Murdaugh has never seen the day where he knows anything about being addicted to opioids. Immediately I knew better soon as I heard him say that he spent 60.000 on one trip to his dealer. Absolutely false. Alex Murdaugh is trying to derive sympathy from the jury and his circle of people who really do care about him. By claiming to have suffered from opioid addiction... He has an angle to play on the sympathy card AND he now has a good excuse as to where all that money he has stolen has went to. It's the perfect example of look over here so that you don't see what is over there.

I can only speak/comment here about REAL HEARTBREAK, REAL PAIN when a loved one, my younger brother Jody was MURDERED at work on December 21,2000 while he and his boss were closing her business for the day that evening. Two armed robbers came in, stole all of the money from the cash register and then, even though my brother and his boss still had their hands and arms raised, one of the MURDERING THIEVES shot Jody in the heart. Both CRIMINALS, YET AGAIN, went before the Pardons and Parole Boards to be let out of prison, they were THANKFULLY DENIED, AGAIN. My husband, and one of our adult children went in person, even after we mailed the Pardons and Parole Board letters on Jody’s behave, they spoke to that Board and were reassured that BOTH CRIMINALS would NOT be released from prison. Their next hearing will be in 2028. I could not be their in person unfortunately due to strep throat. This defendant, is a cold, calculating actor who can turn on AND off his FAKE/FALSE “emotions”. There is NO real heartbreak and real pain over his 2 family members being murdered. What I wish that I could do is to crawl through the computer screen and let him know WHAT REAL HEARTBREAK AND PAIN REALLY IS, REALLY FEELS LIKE.

About his drug use… He reportedly was going through $40-$50,000 a week worth of oxycodone. That’s not personal use. It’s impossible to personally consume $50,000 worth of oxycodone per week. Oxy on the street goes for about a dollar per mg, commonly sold in 10 mg pills. So if he was taking 10 mg pills, thats 5000 pills per week. Or 714 pills per day. No effing way. If you’ve got a serious addiction problem, you might go through 40 - 50 pills a day.

His wife had to know he was shooting her to death. As well as his son. This definitely deserves the death penalty. He couldn't even do it fast and over with. He had to shoot each one a few times. How bad of a pill problem could he have had to need that much money? I was on opiates for 10 miserable years, and I never had to steal anything from anyone. I just had a crooked enough Dr to keep writing me scripts. Surely, he could have found one for the right amount. Several years ago, it wasn't that difficult. This is a dirty man and will obviously go to any length to keep his lifestyle. Those South Carolina good Ole boy lawyers are something else. How can anyone argue with the experts is beyond me. And the boys mom that fell and died from her injuries and he lied and stole their settlement is past cold. He should've been in prison for that. Their mom died working for that piece of work, and he steals from them? That should tell the jury a lot about the lack of humanity this creep has. He looks like he knows he's seeing his last days as a free man. If he doesn't go to prison, something is definitely wrong with the jurors. He's putting everyone through this for nothing. He's a coward and will do anything he can to stay out of prison, no matter who he has to drag with him through this nightmare and the details.

When I got off Opana in 2012 and after using every drug ever known to man I hate to even type on here how amazing they are or were. I've done oxy in abundance, cocaine, heroine, XTC, Acid percocet Lortab, shot up dilaudid etc etc I'm only saying this now cause they are no longer available but opana hooked me so bad I was a Sergeant in the army and my squad leader celebrated with me by introducing Me to Opana in Fort Knox KY. I had dabbled with every drug known to man but opana hooked me like nothing even remotely close. You know that sickness you get when coming off sonethibg and it sucks? I had done that numerous times but for whatever strange reason as amazing as opana made someone feel the coming down and withdraw was equally uniquely God awful like suicide awful so if you ever get a chance to consume them do not I repeat do not. I know back in 2012 just after being on the market for a couple years in the 6 months I was on them the DEA and FDA decided to stop prescribing them and that made the price shoot way up. I went from paying 60$ per 40mg opana sep 2011 to Feb 2012 when I got out of my first stint in rehab ever they were 120$ per pill and I was doing 5 to 6 a day everyday. I was also being demoted and retired out of the army as well for a serious back injury that occurred in afghanstan 2008 which started the opiate problem
