I love Alex Ross's art. There's something about it I can't really articulate. His dedication to classic designs hearkens to the days long passed, but his depictions of photo accurate proportions, expressions, and textures somehow make them feel timeless and almost futuristic. It's a weird contradiction in my brain and I just love it.

The quality of his work is impressive, but the sheer amount of art he puts out is absolutely staggering. I think he has over 30 covers coming this October alone. Insane.

Alex Ross is genuinely my favorite comic book artist. His work on DC's "Kingdom Come" and Marvel Comics' "Marvels" has some of his best work. I'm super open to reading suggestions featuring his artwork if anyone has some suggestions.

Alex Ross made me see graphic novels cinematically with MARVELS back in the mid-90s. That book is still magic to me.

There is no person better to produce such an epic composition than the master himself. 40 years into a love of the medium, Alex Ross has become synonymous with comics to me...he paints them as I see them, and how I want to remember them.

It's so amazing how he can create detailed, almost, lifelike art of characters while drawing so many of them at once, he probably drew artworks of group shots more than just single portraits and that is so insane.

If you've heard of the maxi-series "Justice" drawn by Ross, it's covers are a bit like that. Big spreads of heroes standing together, as well as one with villains.

For as much as Sam Raimi's Spiderman has aged or how much Christopher Reeve's Superman isn't really my thing... there's a reason why those are so iconic, and that's because their aesthetic and use of light are the closest anyone has got ot Alex Ross's art.
