Everything Mr Vella said about the time he has spent in Australia is true, he has been a resident for many years, he has brought up a family in this country but he is the National President of a very proactive criminal organisation (Rebels MC). I see and have read the arguments for and against criminality and responsibility for crimes committed within these groups but we all need to understand how money within these groups flow. Whilst Mr Vella may not be committing the crimes there is certainly a question about how he is profiting from those crimes. Many years ago a large amount of his assets were confiscated under the proceeds of crime legislation. Unfortunately for Mr Vella he is not an Australian citizen and under the current legislation his application for a visa was denied. You may recall that he was in a similar situation a number of years ago. He challenged the decision and won. The question I have, given that situation why not become an Australian citizen and avoid this current predicament. I suspect that his application to become a citizen may have failed due to the same reasons his visa was denied. Mr Vella has alleged corruption as one of the reasons why he was not granted a visa to return however he has never provided any evidence or details. I think the allegations are just a smoke screen to hide other issues. In any event, as Mr Vella said at the start of the video his lawyers can not do anything about the decision. don't you think if these was evidence of corruption or mal-administration his lawyers would have been all over it, exploiting those allegations to force the Government to grant a visa.

There are many more (and worse) criminals outside of motorcycle clubs. If there is no evidence against Alex Vella, personally, he should be allowed to go home to his family!

Im glad i left the club life, my brothers are still my brothers but so are other brothers from other clubs who i grew up with, to be honest its better to roll with your close 5 these days with no labels.
