Normally I wouldn't have released this: there's A LOT of things I wanted to improve in this track before publishing it. I spent too much time over it and scrapped it two times already though, and since I announced it a long time ago, I decided to say "fuck it" and put it out imperfect as it is. Consider it a V1 for now, I'll probably release an improved version of it in the next months.

Alex, your ear and passion for the original composition but also the emotion in this is Palpable and I can FEEL IT! You hit the parts that Crescendo probably with as much impact as I believe is intended :D. Amazing work Magnificent!

I remember back in the 90's in a game store at the mall. They were showing a demo of Final Fantasy 7 which was just the opening bombing run on repeat. I remember this music playing on repeat. I had never played a FF game before but remembered how awesome this track was. And you made it better!

Its amazing as always Alex even if you think its imperfect! But hey if you ever feel like something you announce and plan on putting out isn’t how you want it to sound then don’t hesitate to delay it! Every track you recreate/create is hella astonishing and if you need extra time to perfect go for it! As long as its coming from a passionate composer like you its worth the wait in the end.

This sounds incredible - wow... and you're saying this is the 'imperfect version'? I'm impressed. 2:21 was where I was waiting to see how it sounded, and in my opinion, you nailed that - I kind of wished the xylo at 2:40 sounded a little louder / was more defined, but overall I'm loving this cover - great work man

@HicksZ34 most of my covers are transformative like that, though check out the E3 gameplay video. I used that as a reference to make it sound as close as possible to the real thing.

This is very impressive Alex, nearly 10 minuets of work. You have indeed recreated the original by your self. All the mixing work sounds fantastic and its such a joy to listen to when being big fan of the original music for this game. In regards to your last comment, I know when mixing and spending hours a day and weeks on something you start getting "tired" (your ears) without realising. I don't think its necessary to redo the mixing for this, unless its for your own personal website and in the instance you really wanted a top client/the lead sound editor to hear it. I can hear your work improve every year in so many ways . I'll be still listening in and watching to get tips on things.Your channel is very helpful in many ways and its a lot of fun to tune in. I love this work !!! keep it coming.

I have one track there (The Landing from FF8), maybe I should submit more :) This specific cover was an attempt to rewrite Bombing Mission from FF7R at a 1:1 scale, using the one in the E3 gameplay as a reference. So can't take all the credit here!

I love this interpretation. It is very interesting ! Two things I spotted : Drastic bass enhancements (very audible on my Hi-Fi setup), and also very strong reverb. Your arrangements should gain authenticity by lowering these two aspects during the mastering phase
