the thing that hits the most on this song is that it's like a goodbye song for THE REV but he is singing it!

This song was written by the late the rev (the drummer), 3 days before his death, he sent this demo with the title Early Death, and he seemed to write a farewell message with the other members, and the part he sings in this song is like really making goosebumps, Rest In Peace, Jimmy 🙏

The Rev delivered the track 3 days before his passing, It was originally titled "Death."

This song was written entirely by The Rev (r.i.p), and he handed the song (back then it was a demo) to the guys, 3 days before he passed. This was, what many people believe, to be his goodbye to his friends. The band later finished the song, adding more vocals by Matt and fleshing out the song, completing it, and adding it to the album. The Rev called this song “Death”, and the band later on changed the name to “Fiction”, because The Rev had a tattoo that said Fiction on his chest.

The last Christmas present The Rev ever left the band and the world. Haunting and beautiful.
