I love this color! It looks so shiny too. I use the Joico 4FV with other red/violet shades on my cousins dark level 3 hair. It lifts it a shade while still keeping it on the dark side. In the sun, it is a vibrant magenta/plum color. I love it! It is scary/cool how it looks in the bowl though lol

so do i need a developer for both the joico color and the iso 4vv color? also when i search for the iso 4vv color it comes off as African A methyst...is that what you used? Oh thank you so much!!! You're so sweet! Since they are more of a fashion color and don't have much of a brown background I don't think they completely cover gray, but I've not used it on someone with many grays so I can't say how it covers from experience.

Will mixing a peroxide (10 vol or 20 vol) into a ready to use semi-permanent hair dye make the colour last longer (ie: permanent)? and will it make the hair lighter underneath? Want to understand exactly what will happen when u mix peroxide with semi permanent dye. Thanks :D

If I wanted to achieve more of a lavender tone, could I just add conditioner to dilute the hair dye it's self... I bleached my hair and used a toner, it's not basically platinum ... what do I do next ? lol

I want to get my hair to a color similar to this. Currently my hair is a weird red color with little hints of purple and brown (it's a hot mess). I was going to buy some hair dye remover this friday to strip the color and then bleach it afterwards to get a level 8-9. is a bleach bath safer than just slapping on straight up bleach? Hi! I want to get a grey color to my hair. I have had it lightened to a light brown then it was dyed red, then dyed black. I know lightening my hair is going to be a pain but i really want grey. Whats your advice? go ahead and bleach it? I have been doing coconut oil treatments for 2 weeks now.

+Raquel Garcia First I would ask your hair stylist. If you hair is compromised and not healthy then your going to really damage your hair. Going gray is a very long process for someone who has colored their hair many times. Treatments only do so much, I would first consult with your stylist and see what he/she recommends!

Are you familiar with the ChromaSilk Vivids by Pravana? My stylist uses these on my hair as a "stain", to give that intense bright color, and it lasts for quite a while (with proper maintenance) Even after 8 weeks, my color is super intense.

Gorgeous colour, I'm sporting the same myself. I noticed that you said that there weren't any permanent purple colours available. So I'm not sure if you know of the Schwarzkopf LIVE Color XXL Luminance L76 Ultra Violet and 86 Pure Purple. I'm in the UK so you may not have them in the US. :-)

It would be easy in the sense that your wouldn't have to lighten it to get a bright color. But you would probably have to dye it twice to really get an even color, and touch it up ever 6 weeks.💜

Imagine your hair looking like shingles. When you lighten your hair all the shingles are laying upward, making a rough surface and the cuticles are left open. haircolour can get in very easily at this time. toning your hair closes the cuticles, making them lay flush with one another. id you're going to tone then you should always do it at the very end!

Ha M we learn to do bleach washes with shampoo etc at cosmo school to remove hair colour etc. it’s less harsh and not as strong than applying just bleach and peroxide and the shampoo makes it lather nicely too and the consistency is better for doing a bleach wash. I am from Australia and we don’t usually call them bleach caps (well I mean we do but at hair school It wasn’t called that) here but there’s many names for it I’m sure.
