I got Dan Lilker’s autograph at a nuclear Assualt show. I stepped on his sneaker when I approached the table he was sitting at. He sat up and dusted his shoe off and still signed my Academy Black flyer.

Some things I have to say in one comment The remaster we've been waiting for after its delay from #5 Greg Walls and D'Angelo didn't morph. Greg D'Angelo morphed in the original. 2:00 DIMEBAG!!! A member from another remaster has joined this remaster. I guess he's the only member of Anthrax that's dead. Thanks a lot Nathan Gale. I thought Jon Dette was gonna be here, but he only replaced Charlie every once in awhile. Wait a minute, you didn't show the actual original lineup. Oh, there's no photos of David Weiss Is it just me or did Johnathan Donais looked old at first but his face turned younger? 4:24 Eye! Eye! Eye! Eye! Eye! Eye! Getting rid of Joey was the biggest mistake they EVER made. Dropped from at least three different labels or those labels failing. They never should have dropped Joey and to me the reason is still unclear on why it happened in the first place. Dumbass move..
@Robv93 Жыл бұрын
Joey was a raging alcoholic. They covered it in behind the music. That's why they fired him in the first instance.
@creamysauce7966 Жыл бұрын
@@Robv93 No Joey stopped drinking way before he got fired. They fired him cuz they wanted more grunge-y vocal. I think it was their biggest mistake too. Joey is one of the main reason why they are THE Anthrax! I'm glad he's back now though.. still missing Dan

I find it odd that they were ever thought of as thrash, because clearly they're not. They utilize and combine several genres: rap, metal, punk, grunge, etc. I bought their albums in the 80s then lost interest. Interesting to see this all these years later!
@metalben005 Жыл бұрын
Among the Living is pure thrash whatchu mean?
@creamysauce7966 Жыл бұрын
Lol, before them there was no thrash metal. How are they going to be something that hadn't existed yet?? That's why they are one of the bands that PIONEERED Thrash metal!!
@thinkforyourself2109 Жыл бұрын
Bands that are examples of thrash: Possessed, Kreator, Destruction, Slayer, Exodus. You will notice common elements in their music in the 80s. There is no melodic singing, no rap or crossover, no ballads. Metallica and Anthrax are said to be thrash but I don't think the label properly applies to them. They are, however, heavy metal.
@creamysauce7966 Жыл бұрын
@@thinkforyourself2109 lol before the term "Thrash" was invented, they were mostly called Speed Metal, which, you know, is self-explanatory. And just because some bands have experimented with other things doesn't make them less thrash.
@thinkforyourself2109 Жыл бұрын
@CreamySauce Fair enough. These genres are not set in stone. They are just broad categories. I accept your argument. My interest in thrash goes back to when it started. I bought a bunch of albums back then and listened to them religiously. The whole thing waned in the 1990s. The 80s was the best decade for it. Back then we dissed the hair/glam bands and wanted what was heavy and fast and hardcore :)
