Giulia Sprint GT Episode 3. In this episode I remove (and break) the front windshield of the Sprint GT. The rear screen and headliner came out just fine.

classicalfa.com do a pretty good headliner kit, that's what this one was. Engine removal video should be up in the next few days.

Good work! The headliner is a nightmare! The fitting is nerve wrecking - I think I spent 30 - 50 hours on getting it in place. The most important thing is to have a proper working temperature and to street it out - with paper clips - over time before gluing it.

Great work again. As I got my car in pieces I always wondered where that odd shaped chrome trim came from. I couldn't see where it would be on the outside ;) As for the headliner. You can always use the old one as a pattern and give sewing a go ;) Loving the build, and watching with interest.

The 5 Euros were found under the seats when they were removed. This car had lots of little bits and pieces from the trip hiding in it.

5:21 where did you buy or get that new windshield glass from? I dont know anyone who makes glass for rarer classic cars.

Good morning, I do like your shop. The color combinations and the windows really make for a bright and cheerful atmosphere. What type of heat do you use? I have noticed that a lot of the shops I see in the videos use radiators. It seems like a great heat for a paint booth. Thanks for the video. I will continue to enjoy them. Take care.

Thanks, I have no heating or cooling in the shop at the moment. It's just cold or hot depending on the weather.

Wow, I never knew the 105's windscreens were so easy to remove. Gotta work on mine soon. The back one leaks like a waterfall sadly...

Good job on the windshields and headliner. Oh yeah, there's a reason techs don't wear watches, especially nice ones. Most can't afford them. Soda blasting is easier on 50-year old sheet metal. Good call on the blue jeans, but red shoes? Work with me here, hah!

So I've always taken the glass out of these by pulling out the aluminium surround trim and then pull the screen out leaving the rubber on the body to remove last. When the trim is out the rubber can collapse a bit to make the glass removal possible. I thought that was the function of the aluminium trim?

The lip of the windshield can rot causing a leak best to check them new headliner always

Hi Jethro,fantastic videos,your skill level is an inspiration.I have 4 Alfas including a Stepnose and 68 Roundtail spider.Im thinking of changing the colour of my stepnose(currently white) ,i really like the blue colour on your car,is it the original colour and if so what is the Alfa Romeo paint code for it?Many thanks,Regards,Antonio,from Cape Town.

Thanks Antonio. It is an original colour called Bluette. The code is AR506

Hey Jethro, nice removal on the glass and the headliner. Always a mystery to me about this with my GTV on how this worked. Do you have the story behind why there's a recessed headline panel in this car. Someone told me years ago there was a minimal distance needed in the rear of the car for qualifying these cars for racing. Or was it something else? I'm sure it's not for the backseat passenger head room. Little room for human back there.. lol.. Do you have any information on this? Thanks, Mark from So Cal.
@JethroBronner6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mark. It's there for passenger headroom. The GTA Stradales didn't have it to save the weight of that rectangular insert.

They had ashtrays in the back ,(one of mine probably never used as it was installed upside down) but I guess they were meant to smoke to keep the people small ,(the theory being nicotine stunts your growth), thereby being able to cope with sitting in the rear ..My teenagers are complaining about my Nissan Dual cab, I should have thought to stick them in the alfa before I started stripping it out.Yes I know no one is listening but I couldn't help myself ...Where are you Jethro?, ...hope all is well.

Could you tell me how to go about installing the front screen. Rubber in the window Crom strip in rubber and then the windshield in car? Thank you for your videos
@JethroBronner3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Start by fitting the glass into the rubber seal, then for the aluminum trim into the rubber seal, and install the whole thing in the car together. I use electrical wire in the seal to fit it into the car.

As it is shown on previous video, this rectangular shape on headliner does not seem to me be original.. looks like flipped headliner for sunroof. Does it have some use or meaning?
@JethroBronner6 жыл бұрын
All alfa 105 Coupes have this section above the rear seats. The only cars that didn't get it were the GTAs. The purpose is to give the rear passengers an added couple of inches of headroom.

What’s up with the audio volume from video to video, one is really quiet then the next one blows the tv off the wall !
