The hottest non-quadrifoglio Giulia, the Giulia Veloce Benzina and the Veloce Diesel compete against each other on the German Autobahn. The petrol powered Benzina develops 280 hp and 400 Nm of torque out of a 2l turbocharged multiair engine, whereas the Diesel Veloce develops 209 hp and 470 Nm of torque out of a 2.2l Multijet Diesel engine. Numbers already tell us, that there is a difference between these two cars. It is interesting still to see, how big this difference is. I used to own the blue Giulia Diesel and I can tell, that this didn´t feel slow or boring in any way, but compared to the 280 hp petrol-powered Giulia it lags a bit.
Due to its enormous amount of torque it is still quick to 100 kph and keeps on going way beyond that point, before it falls back..
