Great cars. My Father had a 1750 Berlina back in the 70’s. We shared wonderful moments with family and now days my brother and I have the same Alfa’s. 🍀❤️

Thank you for this great video. My father had one of these in the 70's in Montreal Canada and then we shipped it back to Italy ...We now reside in Florida... Love those Alfa's...I also subscribe to Hemmings Grazie

My dad had one of these (a 1750) when I was a teenager. What a dynamite little car! It was tiny, yet could hold four adults. And it was exotic, with full instrumentation, manual steering, four-wheel disc brakes, an alloy twin-cam engine that loved to rev, and a fabulous long-throw five-speed shifter. I'm sure a modern Honda Civic would embarrass the little Alfa at whatever venue you chose to race on, but who cares? This featherweight sport sedan needed to be DRIVEN, and it rewarded good driving with perfect balance and a glorious exhaust sound. My dad was always buying European cars, and nearly all were flashier and faster than the Berlina. But when I think back to those good times, this is one of the cars I miss most.

Good on you, David- That is what I always say to people about my (series ii) 1750 Berlina. With twin Webers, not FI, and floor mounted pedal box for RH drive. I've had about 5 of these, the first, 35 years ago. This one for the last 15. It doesn't look much better than yours, but has delete-bumpers, and of course is a 1750. Without winning the lottery, I can't imagine another car I'd want to own, and I've tried plenty.

My uncle had an Alfa Romeo Berlina 2000. He had a head on accident with a steam roller at 60mph. He survived with a few missing teeth but the Bella did not. Only the sump guard was intact.

The current valute of the car justifies its restauration. Come on, David, put some some work on it, It deserves it!!

Mechanical parts are not hard to get at all, as most are shared with the Spider. There are also serveral reputable Alfa parts dealers in the US. Body parts are harder-Alfa sedans were never too popular in the US-but they are out there. The cost of the parts is higher than for American cars, but not unreasonable. These were mass production cars of which plenty of examples were made. Their engines and mechanicals in general are robust, they make beautiful sounds and they truly are a joy to drive.

Is it hard to find parts for cars like this? Like if you needed a gearshift knob or brake drum or something, can you just buy them? I have some trouble finding parts for my 1950 Chevy 1 ton but most things can be purchased. I was just wondering if it is different for this car and cars like it.

The engine alone is reason enough to own a car from the Cross and Serpent.
