Most feel they are alone and spiral mentally down just from that thought but never actually are alone. Some never ask due to pride and that in itself should be the first goal of ones self to fix. I am a very difficult person and I rarely feel sorry for anyone. But no one should ever feel they are alone. "The world makes us soft- hard. The life experiences you had were so hard and yet you might find yourself holding out your hand assisting someone with out first realizing your still a lil soft". But that kind of pertains to us that remain human.

What I realize now is that moments like these in the trilogy highlight just how crucial it is for Bruce to have a team. He may be working alone--notably, without a Robin--but he still needs others to keep him going. Our image of Batman tends to be of this classic loner with no friends, but in the end he's still human. Even the strong get weak sometimes.

Well, the whole point of Pattinson’s Batman, initially, is that he’s mentally unstable. He beats on people mercilessly out of hate and can’t form or manage relationships. (Spoilers ahead) What happens to Alfred in the movie serves as a wake up call to Bruce. A sign that, despite his coldness, he still very much cares about people and that he has to try for them. At the end of the movie he realizes that pure, brutal fearmongering is not good for him or Gotham.

I love this scene for a detail : the father-son link between them. Bruce has three father figures in Begins who help him growing up : Thomas, Ra's and Alfred : the first made him a boy, the second Batman, the third a man. By dying Thomas abandoned him without wanting to, Ra's too with his betrayal, but Alfred is still there and always be. This "Never" is full of meaning : the kid, the man, and Batman, Alfred won't leave any of them. He will always take care of him (the child), be hard to please with Batman, and supportive with the man.
