This is probably the first video of its type I've seen that wasn't just the same old 5 Yngwie runs even Yngwie clones are tired of. Kudos for that. Rock onward and upward!

Thank you! And YES I know what you mean hahah. I really put a lot of effort into my material - to make it fresh and creative. The same old Yngwie runs are easy to churn out over and over, so I think that's why content creator guitarists do it all day long, also, there is somewhat of a demand for it, I suppose.

Very cool. You're the guy that made me understand modes. You showed how a major scale could sound completely different depending on the background chord. Thanks man.

Cheers! It's good to have you back =) You should join my Discord. Me and the other subscribers are on there every day talking about guitars and technique etc, would be great to have you: discord.gg/G9r65Uu6vY Anyway, yeah, it's super tough these days to be a content creator. If you're not making clickbait junk or shorts you just get buried. I'm lucky if more than 0.02% of my subscribers actually watch my videos. It's seriously bad. I'm still making videos at this point because I don't know what else to do - stumped!

Do you explain what these runs are in the video's?? Keys, Scales\modes, thoughts behind them?
@AlfredPotterGuitar
@AlfredPotterGuitar Жыл бұрын
Yes =) each of the 30 separate videos lessons comes with a detailed description explaining the key, mode, how I came up with it, which sequences I chose to blend together and why etc.

thanks again! what is the difference between your scale sequences and your scale runs courses?
@AlfredPotterGuitar
@AlfredPotterGuitar 11 ай бұрын
Hello! The "40 Scale Runs" ebook is where I teach 40 scale sequences (different patterns applied to scales to navigate them creatively), whereas the "Killer Scale Runs" course is 30 video lessons where I demonstrate a completely custom scale run in each one, including guitar pro tabs and backing tracks

@@AlfredPotterGuitar Thanks so much, i bought repeating patterns and 40 scale runs. it has improved my playing alot. Just practicing these has improved my fingering alot. Best time to just sit and practice runs is on zoom calls (without camera/mic on) during meetings lol.

Any standard notation?
@AlfredPotterGuitar
@AlfredPotterGuitar 5 ай бұрын
Hi there, as these are all hyper-specific and require exact fret numbers, fingerings, and pickstroke information, the ambiguity and inadequacy of standard notation simply doesn't cut it. however, the course does come with GuitarPro tab files and there is an option within GuitarPro to turn on standard notation for those who want it. I suppose it could be handy for players wishing to play the material on a different instrument.
