The world's most-followed productivity expert, entrepreneur, creator, and New York Times bestselling author, Ali Abdaal, discusses his book “Feel-Good Productivity: How to Do More of What Matters to You.” We think that productivity is all about hard work. That the road to success is lined with endless frustration and toil. But what if there’s another way?
In this revolutionary book, Ali reveals how the science of feel-good productivity can transform your life. He introduces the three hidden 'energisers' that underpin enjoyable productivity, the three 'blockers' we must overcome to beat procrastination, and the three 'sustainers' that prevent burnout and help us achieve lasting fulfillment.

if your prejudice tells you he shouldn't be on talks to google, because he is a just a KZfaqr in your eyes 👀. so try becoming medical doctor only, but don't forget he is also a KZfaqr, and newyork times best selling author. all in one pack.

TLDListen by Claude 2. Actionable nuggets: 1. Use a 5-minute hourglass or timer to force yourself to get started on a task for just 5 minutes to overcome procrastination inertia. 2. Ask yourself "What would this look like if it were fun?" when approaching a tedious task, and find ways to incorporate more play, games, or arbitrary challenges. 3. Track metrics like word counts or time spent as a way to "gamify" tasks and make progress more motivating. 4. Before switching between tasks, take 30 seconds to make a specific plan for what you'll do when you return to help reduce attention residue. 5. Put important tasks, breaks, workouts, etc. in your calendar and treat them as commitments. 6. Adopt a mantra like "This one just needs to be reasonable" to lower the stakes and pressure on yourself. 7. Use techniques like playing music, setting time limits, or co-working to make tasks more enjoyable and energizing. 8. Surround yourself with energizing people and be conscious of your own energy - greet people enthusiastically, give compliments, and speak louder. 9. Do attention training by forcing yourself to read/work for 45 minutes without distractions from your phone. 10. Experiment with different techniques and strategies to find out what works best for your personal productivity needs.

I used to follow this guy quite regularly but got a growing feeling that productivity videos are common knowledge regurgitated as a money make funnel. It's scamming us. I feel the same about Cal Newport and Simon Sinek.

I agree that its becoming a money generating scheme, but it is up to us to decide whether to buy their stuff (or not). Using their videos in KZfaq is totally free, and his ideas are really helping me a lot.

why? just cos he's selling a book? HAHAH jeez if that is the case, dont buy it then. leave the knowledge to us. Is it really that hard to distinguish between nonsense gibberish and actual constructive advice? every single productivity guru are spouting the same thing but most of yall dont actually implement it to see the changes it makes in your life. If them selling a book changes your perspective of them, then what's the point of books? I've read books like deep work, making it stick, atomic habits and they have really helped me improve mentally. It's like saying you've been getting free good advice from ur friend who's a doctor but just cos he or she decided to charge u for it u decide they are totally a sham. Make it make sense
