Sacha Baron Cohen was unknown when he first did Ali G. For the first couple of series none of the guests knew it was a comedy character. A few figured it out but most didn't. Eventually Ali G became so famous that it was impossible to spoof anymore, so he moved on to other characters, such as Bruno and Borat. :)

Ahh Lads I've just remembered a brilliant show from the UK. "Balls of Steel", where you had several different characters who had to do crazy things to win. Like a game of dares but extreme. Well worth a watch. If anyone remembers it I'm sure they'll agree.

Guys, if you think this is funny, PLEASE react to Da Ali G Movie. lol I saw it at the cinema, and it's hilarious. Ali G was his best character, I think. It was also perfect for satire, when he was "interviewing" politicians, and basically calling them out on their BS. His interview of David Beckham and posh Spice was great.
