Ali G played by Sacha Baron Cohen is the stereotypical middle class white kid trying to be ghetto, partially inspired by a British DJ named Tim Westwood. It started as a regular 5-10 minute bit on a UK TV show called The 11 O'Clock Show, which is also where Ricky Gervais started his TV career, before becoming a show of it's own. Interviewees had no idea he was a character. They were contacted for a serious interview, in walks a guy in a suit and Ali carrying the equipment. Suit guy gets everything signed and chats while Ali helps set up the equipment and right as the interview is about to start, suit guy goes behind the camera and leaves them to deal with Ali. He never breaks character from the moment he puts on the costume until the moment he removes it so interviewees still had no idea he was a troll until broadcast. Once people in the UK knew the Ali G character, he created Borat amongst many others and then began trolling America with his characters too. Now he's been in a bunch of movies but the classic Ali G and Borat stuff were his masterpieces.

Sacha Baron Cohen is the man who plays Ali G. There are so many brilliant Ali G vids oUT there. He started off on Channel 4 in the UK and mainly took the piss out of politicians and celebs etc who then didn't know who he was. He is of course is Borat and Bruno as well. He went to US with those characters because nobody knew him there, and he could get away with it too. Just hilarious you gotta do more.

Ali G with the veterinarian is my favourite of his. On the no nut thing, I use to work away, week on week off, my girlfriend use to want me to save everything for her and by the end of the week I use to be in so much physical pain, there no way that priest hasn't done anything in 52 years.

Gotta love Sacha Baron Cohen, Ali G was great back in the day, I loved it when he went to the United States and made a show called "Who Is America?" he really trolled you guys over there lol but he didn't go as himself or any other well-known character of his like Borat or Ali G, he went as all different characters. I think my favourite part of the entire show "Who is America?" is when he went to Kingman, Arizona and well let's just put it this way he proved how racist that town was lol.

Ali G and borat will be a great Rabbit hole for the channel to go down. I would maybe look for episodes a bit like you did with the inbetweeners as you will get a real sense of what's happening. Me personally I thought the Ali G movie was terrible because it was a movie with a story. The comedy really comes from people not knowing what's happening being put in a situation and trying to be polite. The Borat movie went back to the roots of the original concept and that movie was excellent!

Also Sacha Baron Cohen giving news interviews or performing as Borat, Bruno, The Dictator etc. Clips of him at the Oscars or Fox News or talk shows are hilarious and scary. The movies are very funny and sometimes very rude and he risks everything for the right response. And his Who is America has some unbelievable moments.
