I love her story of when she and George took their first child to the Greek Orthodox church for her baptism. She said the priest rubbed so much oil on the baby she thought to herself why is my daughter being prepped for a salad.

She is so funny I absolutely love her! I only sit through the complete hour of the Kelly and Ryan Show when she substitutes for one of them. I think she and George complement one another fabulously and there truly must be something to the saying "opposites attract".

Haha! I went to college 7 hours away, in my old Toyota with a foot locker. No parent went with. We dropped off our daughter almost 4 years ago with 2 carloads and she had to go to Target after we moved her in! 🤯

My favourite Ali is when she did "Comedians in Cars getting Coffee" with Seinfeld. They had a beautiful Merc convertible but she just stole the whole thing. It's on Netflix and I go back and watch it again to cheer me up.

Mad Men is the best written show ever. I'm in awe of the writing on that show. I'd love to see all the writers on a talk show. For Gen X who thought they would move to NYC and meet Don Hollinger, but ended up meeting Don Draper instead, Mad Men explains how these people were raised in CT/NY. The perfect portrait of NPD. They nailed it so hard.

@@ofsaturnstar You totally need to binge watch the entire show. I am so glad I watched it on Netflix when I could watch it all at once for the first time. It's the only writing where I've been in the middle of a show, heard a sentence, stopped stunned, and rewound to the beginning saying out loud by myself, "Who f'n wrote that??!!! Who f'n wrote that?!", until I saw the opening credits again and saw the writers. I've never done that with a series before. Incredible. So well written!!! I want to meet all the writers! Also, I wish I could post photos here because I was watching 2 cats for a friend while I was watching Mad Men and they were sitting on the coffee table in front of the TV, one alpha grey tabby male, the other sweet, innocent all black male 1/2 of the grey tabby's size. The alpha got upset at Don Draper for competing for alpha male and went, "I'M the only alpha male in this family!", then meowed and knocked the little black cat off the coffee table. He looked crazy possessed. It was hilarious.

Ali was delirious for Don Draper....I have been delirious for Schmoopie since the first time I saw her. The saving grace was I have always been a Big Fan of her husband George S. so it all worked out for th ebest!

I felt so bad for her when they had a show with her and some guy on daytime. Within a week she must have been loosing sleep. She came to the show with giant bags under her eyes. The next day at that show they had to read out the letters (emails) She was defending the bags that she still had. I personally never saw bags under anyone's eyes set in so fast on anyone in my life. I'm in the medical field and see a lot of people, but never saw that kind of a drastic change in anyone. I think its the reason the show was canceled. she was too uncomfortable to watch. I felt bad for her.

Ali MIGHT have been joking about the escaped convict roommate, but my first year dorm was all clusters of rooms around a shared bathroom/common space. Every OTHER cluster on my floor was full of inmates from the state prison on an education release program. No, none of us told our parents.

Who the F are all these experts on Life during a Pandemic that you believe exist?!? Lol The last previous Pandemic was in 1918 and my Grandparents who died 32 -38 years ago were just entering adulthood for that one. Ali's book might just be required reading. She's that smart.
