One of the things that I love so much is decorating, and letting your imagination come to life! We are at our best when we’re creating. We don’t have to strive for perfection in our home decorations, in fact that’s what makes art! That you can see something real with its imperfections in all I believe adds to the design and the artists expression of what you’re creating.  art is perfect and it’s in perfection.
A tip that I’d like to give you is from a quote of Coco Chanel. “ Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” As artists in design, we are always at risk of putting one thing to many that turns high design into amateur theater. Don’t get me wrong, I love the theater, and there is a place for creating theater in visual design and merchandising and telling a story. But in high design in your home you want your look to to be polished, Sophisticated, and look as if every single item was placed.
With Coco Chanel‘s quote you can apply this to your art and your designs. After completion of each of your designs look it over and see if there’s one thing that you can take off that will not affect the design, but in fact will leave the look cleaner and more elegant. This is my advice from long-term designing, creating, professional visual merchandising and being an artist. I hope you enjoy my dining room.
