How could it have been handled better? Please enlighten me. Muppetiers told y'all since February that United were looking at McKenna. Did anybody else know? McKenna was basically showing up at random United matches. Did y'all know why? They handled it beautifully actually. It obviously came out because Chelsea and Brighton got involved. And as for the the decision itself, tell me, if you took over a business that was failing, would you keep the manager you met there?

He just gave an interview yesterday stating the exact opposite dude. When asked if he would have meetings after the FA Cup final he said, nope, already done that, im going to holiday and then getting ready for next season, with a smile, does that match the garbage the media are saying, the media ALWAYS do this with united. I dont believe for one second INEOS will sack him, makes no sense at all in the current climate, none, what needs to happen is a squad clear out and overhaul and I believe they are smart enough to know that. NO MANAGER has succeeded at United, theres a reason for that and its not because the managers were bad...

I personally believe no other manager would do better than Ten Hag in this season, considering the injuries, the off field issues, the club sale circus, zero support from the Board during the January transfer period and answering media about non football questions, and those journalists gunning for him to be sacked right from the beginning. I really think that Ten Hag would do better in his 3rd season if he got rid of those handful of rotten players in the summer. Don't understand what log you are talking about. I've seen United play with me own eyes, I have identified some of the problems above. If non believers like you were vocal during Sir Alex's starting period, we'd never have such iconic seasons. Arsenal, endured troubled first couple of seasons and backed Arteta, now see where they are. If Ineos sack Ten Hag, they would be the new Glazers.

You can go into strength and weaknesses of McKenna, but he won’t survive next season unless there is a player clear out this summer. The clear out is the key. Regarding ETH, I just haven’t rated his coaching skills from what I’ve seen this season. Especially with the forward line. It’s amazing he went the whole season and couldn’t get proper interchange and team play between players who were basically playing as individuals.

I agree he isn’t the only one to blame, but at the same time other issues are not an excuse for deficiencies identified with him. If you watched Erics last interview yesterday you would see him laugh at the journalist who implied he would be facing meetings on his future after the final, and he answered no, already finished ALL those debriefs for the season with them and he's going on holiday on Sunday. @@siouzsie I cant see how INEOS with their position on changing things correctly can come to any other conclusion than backing Ten hag. it makes no sense, we have had the likes of Mourinho, van gaal, top world class managers suffer the same fate. We had a club legend respected inside and outside the club, suffer the same fate. Its NOT a manager issue. Putting injuries aside if you look at some of the work rates and performances, take Rashford and his ridiculous drop off in effort this season, Sancho compared to United vs his loan, Martial, its obvious theres a problem in the squad. Those players are serial offenders in lack of effort, whining, mapping body language and not trying at all. Any management group which cant see the real issue here and cant grasp changing yet another manager WONT fix this problem, isnt a serious group and INEOS seem to be serious and smart. So for me, the agenda is going to be 100% getting the summer SQUAD work done fast, players out, players in, hopefully the weak minds have been identified, the problems all ready marked for resolution, I just dont see how Ten Hag going can be listed as a cause for an ENDEMIC issue which has plague all United managers since Fergie. Guess what Fergie did that the club hasn't done since? He culled the ROT IUMMEDIATELY it surfaced. Like Staam for example, even the slightest hint of whispering, dissent or questioning the managers choices, he stamped it out and kept the squad 100% clear on tolerance for it. @@marmedli9124 I do get why it could happen, but if INEOS is what they claim to be, smart, focused and capable of understanding the problem, starting with a childish position of "i want my own man" when all sense screams sort the actual underlying problems first, then we are in trouble again. Focus for me has to be on getting the squad cleared of issues and rebuilt FAST, before pre season, making sure everything is in place to start the season with a fully settled manager and team and structures to support him. Guesswork that somehow Kieran mkEnna of all people are somehow going to be the answer, sure, more than Mourinho, more than Van Gaal, more than Ole, now more than ten Hag? The situation is simple - ETH has two clauses in his contract - the first is a performance clause, in that if he does not qualify for UCL, he can be sacked , the second is if he does not qualify for any European place at all then he can be sacked for free. The FA cup, if won would qualify United for Europe, meaning they could sack him but have to pay him part of his contract, not the full amount but part of it. So INEOS wont sack him prior to the match as that would cost money, if he loses its free.... all they care about is money, nothing new here. They know they can sack him, but if he loses the FA Cup its free, so they wait.

Wow that's rough, but not surprising. It is man u's worst prem season ever. Lowest placed, minus goal difference and likely the first season outside Europe. Hope you get someone who can rally you, but I think it's gonna be a rough road

I agree that the news of Hag's being sacked is well, un professional, before the Cup game, but Poch's sacking created ripples amongst teams like Bayern , Chelsea , and Brighton Like a musical chairs game . Man, U board need to distanced themselves from media chat . Let Ten Hag have some dignity

The way this has all come about and the Dan Ashworth fiasco, Ineos are just puppets for the Glazers. It's been a bad season and ETH has to take some responsibility for that, but sacking him for a championship manager who coached at this club and had player leaks about him and his coaching is ridiculous.

McKenna has waaayy more experience than Arteta did. Mckenna was promoted to first team coach and then assistant by Jose Mourinho himself. He then served under Ole and Rangnick before taking the Ipswich job (which he absolutely killed by the way.)

If I was a Man Utd fan I’d find it increasingly annoying and frustrating that most of the clubs business since INEOS is being played out in the public domain and the conduct of how they are doing business by not going through the right channels will also annoy other clubs involved too. It’s very underhanded and disrespectful and has been going on since the Ashworth debacle as proven in emails at Newcastle. I do think they need to tread more carefully
