Gyro is not the king - the anime left this out, but the moment he became a chimera ant, he just walked out. He was never under the control of the queen and is now building a new army in Meteor City. Gyro being included in the anime is 'kinda' important as it will lead to various members of his NGL forces to act in certain ways, like we see here with Welvin

i'm glad i studied buddhism in a class before cause i actually can kinda understand Netero's power now 😭 (this was a couple years ago tho so my memory might be meh) Bodhisattvas are basically people who have reached enlightenment but instead of moving on to paradise/the next world, they stay behind and help others on their path. I believe Guanyin is a Bodhisattva related to compassion, which draws into Netero's theme of compassion and gratitude through prayer. I don't remember much more than that but if anyone wants to correct me feel free ☝🤓

There's one plothole(?) here that I always wonder about, why did Netero assume that Meruem cared about his name, before Komugi he didn't care about his name, he was "The King", he didn't need a name, there shouldn't be a reason for him to care about his name, Netero shouldn't know that Meruem's name is important information to him.

Ep 130 and 131 are episodes thar need to be heard by all, they are masterpieces of eps with each with their own Specially created Ost. How do you deal with a person that is Apathetic about life... or what have you and death is not scary. You make them live. No arms or legs or choice. they are on machines keeping them healthy but left utterly alone. Also no teeth left. Yet they were made to be conscious of the full process. Not that hard to answer. Think of the worse way to be alive and make the other be that way. Death through loneliness and insanity... works every time; because how could it fail. Its spiritual and mental death, you do not need fear for it to be effective. Putting such things into practice is the hard part. No clue where to begin. Not exactly fun to watch either so not likely to be on any show or in any book with great detail.
