This is a criminally underrated movie, ignore the "Theatrical Cut" and go straight to the "Assembly Cut" the studio put together, with that version this movie becomes nothing short of a multi layered masterpiece. I only wish Fincher would get on board & help piece a genuine directors cut together as there's still a few bits missing.

I'm glad to see that Alien 3 is getting more love with each year that passes, kinda like what happened with The Thing (1982), a LOT of people hated that movie (because, E.T) but then recognition began to arise and today is a cult film with PFXs that still hold on even to the PFXs of today's standarts (the Kennel scene speaks for itself, Stan Winston and Rob Bottin were THE MANS). Hats off to the crew who worked in the PFXs on Alien 3.

Alien 3 is an underrated classic. Personally, it's my second favorite of the series, only beaten by the original.

it's hard to believe it's been 25 years, I remember like yesterday the trailer being on TV.

I really love Alien 3, Prometheus and Covenant. All of them had flaws and holes but I still love them, especially A3

Alien 3 is not a perfect movie but visually it is beautiful. Great dialogue and music also.

I have to say that the xenomorph as devolved over the years, becoming less bio-mechanical. Still a master desplay of skill though. They are very different but just as awsome designs

Wooow. Btw. there are lot of elements You came up with in Alien Covenant. Small neomorphs, the way protomorph runs using all four...many times one had to remember Your great work on A3.

IMHO Alien 3 was the best of all the sequels.

Still remains to be some of the most satisfying practical effects work in a movie.

This is how it should be done!!! True artists and amazing practical monster effects! For all the studio execs or directors who think CGI is superior, take a look at these guys! The late but great Stan Winston, Rob Bottin, Rick Baker, Dick Smith (R.I.P You legend!) Tom Savini, Carlo Rambaldi and so many more who gave us monsters that terrified us, yet fascinated us with their creations and yet, made us say "How did that they do that!?" Whereas you look at the likes of Jurassic World and say "Oh, it's CGI!" Practical effects artists are the true essence of movie magic! Long live practical effects and Long live Studio ADI!!!!!!!

Alien3 may be my third favorite Alien film, but it is a favorite that I watch frequently. The best looking alien out of the films , I just wish the puppet had turned out better the movements were amazing , maybe some one can meticulously clean it up frame by frame with some cgi and make the lighting issues that they had a thing of the past, bringing alien 3 back into the future.

I wish the new Alien movie had more of your guy's magic touch and less CGI. The Alien crawling through the ship in Covenant didn't scare me. I couldn't suspend my disbelief due to the creature's lack of tangibility.

How come Fox hasn't released a 25th Anniversary Edition of Alien 3.They released a 30th Anniversary Edition of Aliens on Blu-Ray and a 35th Anniversary Edition of Alien.Come on Fox get with the program. This was one of the most under rated Alien films made.

What's with the ridged head like from the second film? Were they considering using that design? The live action suit looked good, but the animated rod-puppet scenes didn't work. Looked like old fashioned stop motion (which it was) and that just didn't cut it in 1992...

Damn, really should have seen more of this thing in the movie. It was either CGI or just a few quick edit cuts. It really is quite convincing like giger's alien in the first movie. not quite as horrific as giger's but very close in its own regard. Practical is the only way to go for Alien. No CGI please. Covenant had no impact with all the CGI.

Alien 3 was such a great ending to a then perfect trilogy. I so wish that they would just make new Alien movies as what Blomkamp wanted to do (re-capturing Aliens' world) but without having to include Ripley (I love the character but she had her full story already), and mostly without this useless need to tell prequel stories to explain, sorry I meant "to demystify" the xeno's origins...

Nowhere as good as Gigers.

A pretty good movie that could have been great if the studio execs had left it alone. Just seeing the work that went into creating the life-size alien makes it all the more sadder. Maybe one day the crappy puppet that they used will be replaced with decent CGI and Fincher will be allowed to make a cut of the movie that will better everything that went before.
