Honestly, the idea of one predator hunting another predator is not a bad idea. Too bad they added so many subplots that it’s little more than a sideshow.

Yeah, but that isn't how phones work, it would only delay the trace as the government would have to get a warrant to contact the phone company and get the phone records, then do the trace on the other phone. Assuming of course they can't just call up the NSA and get access to a back-door, which many phone companies do due to the PATRIOT Act.

Damn, someone needed to speak up during the production process. They broke so many rules in this realm: 1. A single predator should be able to mark, clear & remain hidden for at least a week alone. 2. Their tech is way too advance & should never reach the distance of a child. 3. Their ships are usually used as a vessel (no matter how bad a situation) to keep tabs on the aspiring predator. They basically made a blimp out of one for all to have a great time climbing & jumping off. 4. The cast is wild - I wonder how many of these guys actually appreciate the lore & history of predators & what they are capable of. 5. Talk about disrespect to all predator technology. You have camo cloak , you have camo cloak , you have camo cloak. Smh… to learn their language overnight & start manipulating the tech.. wow.

Note that the Yautja left the scientist alone because she was unarmed and wasn't considered a threat. In the movie Prey the Yautja see animals with claws and teeth to be honourable game, but have to fight them with bare hands or arm swords.
@andreaso888610 ай бұрын
@@Delosian What about immediatly after the crash? Did the special forces team attack it? No, it eviscerated one of their number and killed of the others. Indescrimately killing is not the way of the yautja and this movie kicks everything of the established lore into the gutter. It has nothing to do with the old lore nor is it anything remotely logical. Probably due to the continous recuts of the material. Look it up.
@Delosian10 ай бұрын
@@andreaso8886 We don't see the time between when the ship crashes and when Quinn McKenna turns up so anything could have happened. They were soldiers, running around with guns and knives, so they're probably considered Honorable Game. What we do see is the dead soldier in the tree, and the Yautja decloaks himself temporarily and the soldiers start shooting at it, which then makes them Honorable Game.

So the small Predator was trying to give humans a way to fight...Predators? The big one was trying to stop it from happening...so why were both Predators killing humans lmao
@Delosian10 ай бұрын
There is a civil war going on between the Yautja (Predator) clans over whether to invade Earth or not as they hold the view that humanity is killing the Earth. The smaller Yautja belongs to a clan that wants humanity to be left alone, or at least should have a chance to defend themselves, while the larger Yautja belongs to a clan that wants the Yautja to invade Earth, and doesn't want the smaller Yautja to pass on their technology to humanity. As for killing humans, the Yautja Honour Code requires a Yautja to match weapon type with weapon type, such as hand-to-hand versus hand-to-hand, sword versus sword, and ranged weapons versus ranged weapons, so when the lab techs and soldiers attacked the smaller Yautja it treated it as honourable combat and killed them. Note that the Yautja left the scientist alone because she was unarmed and wasn't considered a threat. In the movie Prey the Yautja see animals with claws and teeth to be honourable game, but has to fight them with bare hands or arm swords. The Yautja as a species upgrade themselves using genetic technology, and then use ritualised hunting to prove that their genes are sound. The Yautja that kill the most impressive prey get to pass on their genes the most, as proven by skull trophies of their kills. In a scene that was cut from Alien Resurrection, the spaceship Betty lands in Paris in the 24th Century to show that Earth is now a radioactive dead world.

why can't the predator see through it's own cloaking tech? We've seen them cloak in groups and never awkwardly bump into each other. I guess one could argue this predator was trying to evade predators so it modified it's device to suit that goal but I've only ever heard of it bending light and if it did that the predator would not absorb much or any light at all so it would need an alternate means of detecting it's surroundings unaffected by the lack of light.
