They should've named this game Call of Aliens: Weyland-Yutani

Remember playing this bit and geeking out a little bit at seeing this, the first time anyway, was cool to be in the derelict standing next to the space jockey. But everything in that room is still wrong, from the way you enter to the size of the jockey ( or engineer as their now known) this was such a terrible game with shitty attempts of fan service. I've just done the lv4-26 level on alien isolation...and wow, that felt exactly as it did in the movie, right tone and atmosphere, graphics are beautiful. I must of spent 15 mins just staring at the space jockey, it even has the hole kane was lowed into.. alien isolation is a true homage to alien and the game all following alien games should learn from. Well do creative assembly. Sega should use you for all alien games

I cant believe what im seeing, One of the best places in the film and your shooting humans.

When I played this level I noticed the red sensor things from prometheus flying through the coridors. as we dont know if this is the ship from prometheus, I think it is a slight nod at the film.

Thank you for posting a clear and comprehensive video of this sequence. While a lot of the online griping about A:CM pertains to the graphical bait-and-switch, I'm much more disappointed by the story. In the making-of videos, the developers seemed so sincere about making a satisfactory sequel to the second film, and made a big deal about consulting with the filmmakers of Prometheus. We get the Space Jockey as a sight gag, and a throwaway explanation for how *spoiler* survived. Ugh...

There's a glimmer of hope. Creative Assembly seems to be working on a third-person survival-horror based upon on the ORIGINAL film. It's gonna be slow, possibly like Amnesia and the classic Resident Evils and Silent Hills. Not much is known about it at all, but it'll be Sega's one chance to redeem themselves after this and the AVP game. If it fails, then yes, I think it will be dead as a game franchise at least.

Just watched Alien last night (for the umpteenth time) and I have to say regarding this space jockey chamber is the same thing I said about Prometheus. It's still too small based on the scale that they established in the first movie.

Who knows. Ridley Scott stated that the third film in the franchise will bridge the gap between Prometheus and Alien.

It can't be the same ship from Prometheus since that was a different planet. Plus remember the Space Jockey left his ship and chased after Shaw and died when Super Vagina impregnated him on what is left of Weyland's capsule on Prometheus.

This looks terrible. In the first Alien movie, the Space Jockey is HUGE and yet in this game it's the same size as the character you are playing. What a load of shit. Alien Isolation did it far better.

Actually, I guess you missed the Space Jockey "space battle" easter egg. Considering the game, I guess it's quite fitting you have to mindlessly empty a magazine into the jockey's head to reveal it.

From what I read, when you shoot the Jockey's head and start the holo-dog fight between Derelict and saucer ship, the saucer was supposedly the Engineer Ship in the Prometheus prologue. I still don't believe the original Space Jockey's a proto-human in a suit though. Even the rendering here in ACM doesn't fit that bill. My theory is that it's an actual alien fused with the chair, part of its own ship, and Engineers were conquered by them, who emulated their ships and tech.

It's not the same ship from Prometheus cus the ship on lv-246 crashed nearly a millennia before Prometheus, the engineer is fossilized in alien

Yep the only way for someone to revive the series is for somebody to make a good game, Ridley Scott making xenomorphes in the next promeatheas, Or someone to make a good new alien film.

This is what you would call a "Major Sellout". It's just like Duke Nukem Forever. Gearbox knew that all they had to do was make a game about aliens, and thousands of people would buy it, no matter how horrible it was. They probably profited from the pre-orders alone.

Also, another nod at Prometheus: WINTER (you): "My God." O'NEAL: "That isn't your God." Either they are bashing Prometheus; or the characters didn't know what happened when Prometheus landed on LV-233 many decades ago, since they techically ARE our "gods".

This level could of been so much scarier if they would of done it right, going in their with other space marines kills the tenstion, and then making it a shootout with other humans was a big fail.

Clearly, we know this. It's the same TYPE of ship, but not the same exact ship. :3

What a let-down. :( I was hoping you would actually find something on the ship. Maybe some of the unanswered questions from Prometheus would be answered. Or maybe even find the alien that originally came out of that Space Jockey's chest.

The amount of wasted potential in this game is staggering. I wouldn't be surprised if this kills the franchise for five years or more.

Nope that's what you call an inconsistency in movies it happens all the time I see the mega-Nerds trying to make up an excuse for their own expectations. I am not calling you a nerd or anything but that's what it is that's all. If you actually look very carefully it is just a suit because it has a helmet w/ Oxygen hose on its nose connected to the helmet. On the neck its wrapped around the neck of him and the ribs are only connected to the chair and oxygen hose.

This being was never intended to be a fused seat he was when alive was supposed to walk around and check on the eggs in the cargo bay. Ask Ridley Scott he'll let you know what he was.

This game looks like total shit and apparently plays like shit too. The graphics most certainly do not look anywhere near acceptable for a 2013 game, so please tell me this was someone filming the console version of the game on their TV, because otherwise this is a fucking embarrassment, and the devs should go into exile.
