They really nailed the sound for the pulse rifle and smart gun in this game. That's about all they nailed, however.

Pulse rifle and smartgun sound were provided by 20th Century Fox from archive you can hear that Gearbox didnt even bother to adjust them for full auto instead you fire full auto but it sounds like you shoot in burst mode because there was no scene where these guns were shooting in full auto in Aliens so guns sounds was never designed for that.

That and the music are the only things this game did right. I still can't believe that 1: The AVP games never used the movie sound effects. 2. This game had everything it needed to be awesome and FAILED EPICLY.

@@michaelharris7820 in AVP? The pulse rifle was... similar in the first two games. Sounded wrong in the third one. The Smartgun somehow was wrong in AVP2 and 3. AVP1 got it largely right.

That's not how its supposed to work. It moves itself on line with the target, this thing locks on whether its in line or not.

kakoroto The HUD (Head Up Display) in the Smartgun tells information about the current status of the fight and the weapon behaviour. You can see four factors (starting from upper left in a U shape) WEP TEMP is the heat of the core of the smart system; FRC AA is the distance of the current target; UV-9 is either the energy the battery has or the ammunition loadout percentage, finally TARG MASS is - theoretically - how many kilograms the locked target has, 391 for drones and... 320 for a fully armed man? in the Beta version, these HUD schematics told us drones masses 66 (no unit mentioned) and the FRC AA had a maximum acquisition range of 100 (idem) so... help me :S

Kriegerdammerung Haha, yeah. I've heard of labs using lasers to weigh a mole of chemical reactants, but this is just weird. Does this weight gauge come in stand alone form? If so, I would take it into public and use it to shame all the fattys that waddle by.

In the alien series, I feel like each specie has its own signature weapon. Predators have their blasters, aliens have their tails, and humans have their smart guns. Smart guns are the best counter-xeno weapon.

I loved this game as a die hard aliens fan any game that lets you be a ucmc marine and kill xenos is a good game by me if theyd give us a hadleys hope game thatd be sick and let you be hudson vasquez or ripley pilot dropships now thatd be a good game for 2019

@@ZapWires Aliens vs Predator from 2010 was just okay. Can't see shit in the Marines campaign and both of the other two campaigns are pretty 'meh'. Really nothing to write home about.

To bad they ruined it by throwing in a bunch of humanoid bullet sponges, should've removed all that shit and gone 5x the amount of xenos and this part would've been better.
