What you think about thw m18? You take it with you where you go or you use it as desktop replacement? Thinking on getting the m18 but I'm told is too heavy to Cary around

@Angel Anguiano It's just a desktop replacement, but I do take it with me when I go on vacations. I always get compliments when I bring it with me. Just love my new Alienwarem18 laptop!

I have the x17 r2 but once I get it will sell it..I have an Alienware R15 so I will use the m18 as my portable device . I know the screen is 300 nits so not sure if it's as good as the 500 nit 4k display on x17.

You’re right, wtf !! … I have just ordered an m16, I live in Italy and on the official Dell website they have written 'small factor adapter', I hope so 😅

If the laptop wasn't so badass, I'd return it because of the brick. But I the laptop itself even the tank weight.

@@ortommy my m16 i9 13900hz rtx 4090 is a beast too. Def not comparable to a desktop with the same components but still the most powerful laptop you can get.

But it is not 2010 anymore, is it? If other competitive brands can provide laptops with similar specs and similar price point with less weight, it is a valid criticism. Might not be a deal-breaker for most, but a valid criticism nonetheless.

Yes. Dell is very good at returns. It took me promoting the after they received it, but they responded quickly and got it resolved.

@@nruxx5920 get ready to have your hand burned hahaha. They placed an exhaust fan on the right side where u usually place your mouse. It will get uncomfortable and I’ve gotten my hand numb by that several times. But other than that it performs very well

Hey mate , i was thinking to purchase either Alienware M16 , strix G16 or Helios 16 With i9 and rtx 4080. And i heard that the build on asus is not good and Helios is having a big blooming problem and build is also not solid ... And M16 is too heavy So could you tell me your experience with the Helios 16 and the M16 ? And what would you suggest? It would mean a lot Thanks :)

@@shanmukhsrikar I had the Alienware X16 R1 (metal one) and really liked it. It didn't feel too heavy, and I really liked the touchpad and Windows hello login. I played some games on it with a laptop portable desk and no cooler, and it clearly got some sort of thermal damage that caused blue screens on a regular basis after a week. I thought it was doing a good job with air flow, but I guess not good enough. I had to ship it back. I almost ordered the same thing and felt I got a defective unit. My nephew works at Amazon and recommended the Acer Predator Helios series. Compared to the Alienware, the screen is definetely better and supports HDR for videos and gaming (colors look washed out for non-HDR content, so I mostly leave it off). Touchpad is not as cool and the Hello login isn't there. I do like the Acer control center and performance modes better. The audio on both laptops are terrible, and I'd say ever worse on the Acer because the speakers are underneath. The blooming issues were more prevalent on the Alienware than the Helios. Another complaint I would say is the Optimus dual GPU jittering on both, which you can disable the Intel one completely in the Acer BIOS (did not see in the Dell BIOS). I liked the power plug better on the Alienware more and had to rig up a strap for the Acer because of how easy it falls out on a moveable laptop desk tray. Driver updates easier on the Acer, and with a up to date BIOS, the CPU doesn't hit 100C anymore like the Dell did constantly. I'd say ... if you want a better screen, go with the Acer. At 100% it is almost blinding in a dark room. The other perks I like were related to the X1 only, minus the better processor the Acer has. If I could get that Acer screen on the Alienware X1 with the better processor, that would actually be what I want. I did save $500 on the Acer too, so there is that.
