great review!!! just ordered a 6s kit.will i be able to use the electronics from my 450 dfc pro in this kit.Elecronics viz.servos,motor and the ESC(3GX is the same :-)) on a 3s setup.Allthoug the kit comes with the new motor,iam intending to use the one from 450 dfc.Blades and other parts of the dominator 450 l.your thoughts please???

By the way, do you have any tips and tricks on the linkage balls that go into the aileron and pitch servos. From what I have heard, once the linkage balls are installed, these are offset and are difficult to link to the DFC links...

Pack was that far back? Not tail heavy? My 1300s are 3/4 inch ahead of the tray clip to get CG...

I think the difference in the tail hub/grips is that they now have thrust bearings. I'm trying it out on my normal 6s Pro along with the longer -- 68mm -- tail blades.

maybe you should get a ballreamer and ream that ball out? i had to do the same on my warp 360. stopped all creaking like that

I built my 450L some time ago. Haven't flown it. Every time I tried to take off it would quickly flip over. Lost a few blades. I have some time now and would like to get this thing another shot. There are 2 pots on the 3GX that I don't recall the instructions mentioning. There both set at 50%.

The 3gx was garbage get rid of it thats why they don't make them anymore.

i use thunder power g-8 1300 mah 70 c and they fit just perfect .fat batterys may have trouble fitting

Can this heli use the 6s Fat Packs? ... or does it need the longer skinnier type? I'm all stocked up on the Fat ones... lol.

Hey could you tell me... is the vertical stab ( the one with the white boarder ) any taller than the stock pro stab? The new hub + the 68mm blades are awfully close to the ground on my regular Pro. Thanks much! Also, on a side note: Is everyone hating the new KZfaq comments as much as I am? - I don't get emails when someone replies to my comment. - Not all comments have the "Reply" button. - Can no longer click to see a comment someone replied to... only the commenter's channel... boy that's useful... not. What were the developers thinking?

Hey Ray I took ur advice and got one of these question for u I have 1200 mah batteries and I'm doing 5 minute flights when I charge the batt it only charges around 770 mah so does that mean I should be flying longer? I'm just learning so I'm mostly doing orientation

+Luis Cardona when you start to fly the cells should start at 4.20 per cell and when you land they should be at around 3.80 per cell so you used 40 percent of the battery.

Hello Ray, I have a 450L with speed fuselage that I love for visibility. Anyhow, It really screwed up the CG on the heli, it is very tail heavy. I was wondering if you can give me some tips on how to weight down the nose. I didn't find heavier batteries than my 2200Mah 3s 55c Gens Ace. I tried re positioning them it didn't help that much.

i loved the visibilty of the fuselage but got rid of mine because it through off the way the heli handled honestly

probably not they were designed for the regular 450

Odd question... Does it crash well? I am getting this heli and i dont plan on crashing, but it always happens somehow. What i'm asking is when it hits the ground does it completely come apart, or does it just bend this way and that? On some of my bigger helis, they crash well, while on others, its almost as if a mini bomb went off inside of them.

tough question all depends on the type of crash and if you can hit thottle cut .

What Pitch and Throttle curves are you running with yours? Flat throttle curves (75%, 85%, 100%)?? Pitch curves linear? Thanks

i run a flat throttle curve 85 for idle up and for normal 0,40,60,75,100

these are 1300 mah g-8 70 c thunder power batteries and they were designed for the dominator for a perfect fit

Hey Ray. Dont know if someone has already asked this question, but I was woundering if it is possible to use the blades from the 6s Dominator on the 3s Dominator? I know they are longer on the 6s edition, would be great if they could be used on the 3s for some better stability?

+Sanimir Dizdarevic you would have to use the longer tail boom and torque tube from the 6 cell model also to prevent the main blades hitting the tail blades

i know the motor is different 3200 kv and 1800 kv the esc is the same and 325 blades and 360 blades the boom might be shared i think your right.

I just bought a dominator L and they sent me a Tenergy 2200 mah, 11.1 V 25 c item # 31280 battery to go with it, I got the 6 cell dominator will the battery run in it or should I just by another one I don't want to burn anything up, Thanks we love your video's!!

i use thunder power 1300mah 6 cell g-8 70 c there awesome batteries and they were designed for the dominator by thunder power while working with align to fit perfect.i have never used tenergy batteries before .

Lorie Mccoun yes but you would only get about a min of flight time and no power would be good for maybe a quick test hover only

T-rex 450l 6s dominator tail linkage rod problems... I'm building this helicopter and have just one thing left, the tail linkage rod, but the problem is the two ball links there.Ihave manged to mix them with other sizes and the manual doesn't say what number there shall be on the two... anyone?

go by there size look on the swash plate and dfc head

Its really your choice i owned both, the 450 l is a little cheaper to fix but for the price they both are right now i would buy the 500 pro its easier to see and 10 times more stable and its a rocket ship

Should I get the normal T-rex 450 or should I get the T-rex 450 dominator? I personally like helicopters that are flybarless.

price point is the same . within $45.00 of the pro . i guess my question is the 6s to powerful for a intermdiate pilot? im trying to move on to a better heli. the 6s is within 20 bucks of the 3s.

ok thanks . just a breif background . i have had a blade 450 3d for about a year but i want to buy a trex for better quality. i have flown both the 3s and 6s on the sim . the 3s seems more tame to me. but the 6s seems more stable to me. so u would go with the 3s model for someone like myself ? any info would help .have seen some of your videos and your very helpful. thanks.
