Align Trex 600E Pro DFC 6s Maiden Flight

Boom, near perfect from the starting gate. Batteries are small, only 3200mAh, need to get 5000mAh, i have my eye on these batteries, hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-n...
Tail gain a bit low, tail felt sloppy. Will bump it up till i get tail wag and then back it down a little bit (50% in this flight)

Get the HobbyKing Graphene Panther 5000 75C. They are literally the best LiPo you can get... better than Pulse, better than Gens Ace, better than OptiPower. True 55C capability. Check out this post. Panther is at the top, Pulse is almost at the bottom. You need a good battery because a 6s 550 is gonna be hard on packs, especially a heavy 600 converted to 550. www.rcgroups.com/forums/showpost.php?p=42381735&postcount=7579

Hi, yes i was also looking at these batteries. But HobbyKing wants to charge me £25 at checkout for post. So ended up buying two ALIGN 22.2V 6S1P 5200MAH/60C HBP52004T. I just got a email, they will arrive tomorrow. I hope these Align batteries turn out to be nice, i trust Align as i have only been buying and flying Align for the last 10 years :)

Thanks buddy. I had 2 X 550L, but make no mistake there is no difference between the 550L and 550X, at least not for me. Even this helicopter. It feels just like any 550. 😊

When i bought and built this last year i was going to keep it 12s, but the idea came to me to make it 6s just before i started building it and that idea stuck. Its still easy to go back, just need n 12s ESC, 12s motor and 600 blades / swap.

I see you are running 550mm blades. Is there a reason why you are not running 600mm blades? Personal preference, or is it too hard on the electronics/battery on 6S?

For me its a 550 so decided to go with the 550 blades over the 600, i sold the 600 blades on ebay. It works good as set up in this video.

Nice maiden, I use a few Turnigy lipos they work great. Also the HRB lipos work very well.

Yes 550 size is the best. I had a look at my last 700 flight, i think i enjoyed that flight more than my maiden today. I sold that 700. I will buy a 700 again one day. Get yourself a 550X, you need to do the things in life that make you happy.
