This game is from the Champions Chess Tour AI Cup. Not the Speed Chess Championship as posted in the video.

Fascinating that the “chess of the future” is being played via what could be the oldest opening in chess. It gives me hope.

This is the first video of yours I've seen. I enjoyed your video and analysis. I watch a lot of chess match breakdowns on KZfaq, and now one else uses the same software that you're screen recording. I like it. It doesn't look like you've built much of a following yet, but you can add me to that list. There's some stuff I'd suggest working on, but I don't have it in me to be critical. Keep up the great work and continue to improve. I'll be here, along for the ride.

this Ra3 is a normal move in some lines of Ruy Lopez with the similar pawn structure. White bishops stay on b1 and c1, and when the third rank frees up (probably after black plays ed cd c5), Ra3-g3 is a typical rook lift to help white's attack. Was played quite a few times in the times of Karpov. I'm not sure Firouzja knows those games, but maybe someone told him about it.

Great breakdown! What an interesting game. I wonder what chess will look like in 100 years.

In 100 years nobody will play chess, because at that time everyone will know how to play chess perfectly

It will be solved with quantum computing . They have already solved it with binary code up to 7 pieces. People say there are so many variations like the grains of sand on the beach. Yet how many of those moves are moves you wouldn't make . Considering only viable moves narrows it down a lot.

Fischer didn't like opening theory. I do it too but these guys will spend hundreds of hours memorizing computer lines.

What is opening theory? 😂 I know the answer i am sarcastic because as ELO 850 i don't understand them anyway so i Play how i want to Bullet is my favourite (1100 in Bullet) because you can build yourself a Fortress and play on time At that Level i guess it works

@@piratemercenaryhajrudin6893 Best and most funnest thing for me to improve is puzzle racer games. Opening theory is not that important until you can see all the pieces on the board Blitzing out hundreds of puzzles without caring about your ELO will get you good pretty fast. You'll be incorporating the puzzles you learn into your games really fast.

9:09, what about Bd7 winning the R on g4 instead of Bb8. I don't see white being any better there down the exchange.
@chessdawg
@chessdawg 8 ай бұрын
Excellent question, and really hard to see. The problem for black is white just plays e5, Then when the rook is taken and the pawn recaptures, the knight is forced to g7 or g3, then white plays Bd5 aiming at the b7 pawn and black's entire queenside collapses. Winning the exchange doesn't compensate for losing the b-pawn.

Not so hard to understand . At their level they have patterns and variations down pat and you could see these moves as taking the concept of PIECE ACTIVITY a level higher . He knows in that position the potentialities and then asks the question how can I REALLY take my piece activity to the next level. . So yeah I would say it's simply PIECE ACTIVITY.
