Thank you Alison....your little walking tour around where you grew up was very beautiful....I can imagine children playing in those old buildings and food cooking on the hearth. I live a long way away in Western Australia and really enjoy knitting.

Thank you, Alison. It was wonderful to see your family Croft. It’s much like I imagined my ancestors living environment. I thoroughly enjoyed your walk and talk around Lerwick. You learn so many things by just listening to history passed on by those who live locally. My great granny’s family name was Leask and my grandad’s family name was Williamson. I know that there are still many Leask’s and Williamson’s living in Lerwick. My mom and uncle were born out here in Victoria, BC and I now have many Williamson cousins here all living on the island. I think Shetlander’s and Scots folk are spread out around the world. It was lovely to see the farm and craft fairs. I love going to them myself. We hold them out here all over Canada. I would love to come to yours. Perhaps one day I will be able to. Thank you for sharing your knitting knowledge and products as well as the Shetlands with us. I will continue to follow your videos and wish you and your family all the best now and in 2023.
