Please excuse my dog for trying to be in every single video I make...he just loves the camera! But here I am trying on everything in my Fall/Winter wardrobe, decluttering my closet, and rounding up a huge box of clothes to donate to youth in foster care in our community through Every Child PDX, a really neat organization!

I am so glad to hear that! Definitely very excited to have these more quality, investment pieces in my wardrobe! It can take a while to get to that place, but I feel like I am finally coming out on the other side, haha! So worth it to not have to go shopping for something new every year!

Yes yes yes! What's "next" is completely driven by the consumer fashion industry and it's sooo easy to fall for it. Like for real, on a daily basis I have to remind myself that I have no real "need" for things I see people wearing on Instagram...Lord help me hahaha. But I'm so glad this was a refreshing reminder for you! It was for me too!

Alivia, I have just been absolutely obsessed with your color palette and style for years - loved this video and admired all of your clothes! :) I struggle with decluttering my clothes, but this helped to inspire me to think about what I will actually wear (I have to wear scrubs more than my normal clothes so I don't need that many haha). God bless!

Aw what kind words, thank you so much! I am sure that having to have "work" clothes could definitely make it trickier to keep things simple! I am so blessed to work for myself so, I get to control the attire, haha! But hey, if you don't even need that may day to day clothes, then you're probably off to a great start! Best of luck!

Definitely need one of these videos for spring summer! My color palette is very similar for most pieces except I have some grey, some floral, blue, and olive green added.

love your style but the brands you are wearing are very very expensive for the average consumer. Checked the Jenni Kayne and her cardigans are 300 plus dollars. Funny you say not to get lost in consumeristic thoughts though.

I think there's a big difference between investing in few, quality pieces and consuming at mass rates. I rarely purchase clothing because the pieces that I do purchase last a good while. Unfortunately, quality pieces do come with a higher price tag, but I find that outweighs paying less, for less quality clothing, that I will have to continuously replace. So just because a product is of high value, does not mean it is the root of consumerism. If anything, I would say it is the opposite.
