the story is extremely well captured. I'm wondering how is she right now. Her family was extremely cruel towards her, since she was the one supporting them. There is nothing wrong being a camerawoman, on the contrary, she works extremely hard to make a living.

I feel so bad for her. I wish Al Jazeera would do a follow up on her. She is the only reason these people have money yet they can't put their outdated customs aside to support her. Instead of accusing her of damaging their reputation, I wish her family would defend her so other girls can follow her example and become independent. I was born in that same neighborhood, when I was a child I saw and heard lot of sad stories like this and it still make me sad. She is not a criminal she is not a prostitute, she providing her ungrateful family with her sweat, tears and blood. her same family will choose a female doctor instead of a male ... and a female photographer. I feel bad that men in the house doesn't do much expect eating sleeping and wining. Screw this mentality that we have among us and between us. She has so much power and so much strength, I wish that she is doing fine !

why won't her brother show his face. I think that the "MAN OF THE HOUSE" is supposed to be the one working for the family and protecting them. He should not be treated like a king if he doesn't work hard for his family. I think her family should be thankful for all the things that she does. So I feel for you sister and Allah will help you. I don't understand what is wrong with her working, it isn't like she is doing anything questionable. She is the main breadwinner of the house. What do they expect if she isn't working? As someone who's half moroccan, I was so shocked to see how unsupportive her family was with her job. In my family, women having jobs is praised, even if your jobs requires you to work late. I really hope this lovely women is now living somewhere else, and is happy! :)

the social situation in Morocco is catastrophic especially with the very unequal distribution of the national wealth and of course the first responsible, is the corrupt political system .

Le maroc devrait encourager les femmes marocaines à travailler et devenir indépendante.. Il reste au maroc un long chemin pour devenir mieux et libre totalement, au lieu de passer à la télévision des séries mexicaines (étrangers) , il devrait sensibiliser la population par rapport aux jugements gratuits. Et il devrait apprendre à la société comment être sensibilisés, éduqués, respectueux et encourageant. PU PHANDJES WASSEN I have the utmost respect and admiration for this incredible and strong woman. Living in a negative household, with a family who is not supporting her whatsoever. They are self-centred. The only thing they are good at, is complaining and discouraging her. Not a single member of the family is helping out and trying to provide to. The brother disagrees with her about her job and the fact she works at night. In the meanwhile he is sitting on the couch and being lazy. Nobody wants her to work at night, allthough they complain about the rent/bills and landlord? They should be feeling lucky and fortunate with this not self-centred, fantastic daughter/sister/family member like this incredible woman.

The ending was seriously great, it just touched my heart... the moment when she understood that her child is going to be with her, a normal person or at least a person like me would have considered the child as a burden because she has to carry so much deadweight (her whole incompetent family) alone on her shoulders, the expression of her child choosing to be with her is technically added weight for her daily goals and chores, but she loved the fact the child was with her just brought shine and true accomplishment on her face. The biggest bastards are her father and brother who are unhelpful and demanding; I can understand the culture shock that she is giving them by working late at night, also it is bad for her safety...but, if they are so concerned why aren't they making any contributions to the house...lazy fuckers!!! I salute this woman and feel very grateful to Al-Jazeera and its crew who has contributed such a fantastic personality to be admired by the massses. very thankful to you @AlJazeeraEnglish.

This is absolutely not representative of all moroccan families. My father has always encouraged me and my sister to work, so that we never depend on a man. Kudos to this brave lady and shame on the lazy men of her family.
