I don’t know how cannon the MK11 intros are but there they basically turned Skarlet, Sub-Zero, Frost, and all cryomancers into Edenians.

Also for Rain’s first fatality, I actually think that’s kind of creative. Especially with how limited they were to what they could do with fatalities back then. I also hope you get better soon

I actually liked tanya's neck snap fatality as at the time it was the only fatality that I could perform and I thought it was cool. Sindel in m3 the way the button input was positioned you could accidentally perform the other by accident did both have to use the block and run buttons

I think Tanya's MK4 kiss fatality was meant to be exactly the same as Kitana's, but they couldn't do the inflate with the limited 3d tech, so they did the contortions instead.

Personally, my favourite is Sindel's hair fatality from MK11

I'm pretty sure someone already pointed this out but Frost actually uses Tanya's head screw Fatality as one of her Brutalities. I think Tanya was supposed to do one full rotation in MK4 and the other two rotations were just close up replays, but Frost does all three rotations until the head pops off.

Don't forget that I initially tanya in mk4 was kitana so I guess the fatality was kept just towards the end of the game they decided to change kitanas color to yellow and make a brand new character tanya has.always been on of my fav characters in mk I hope she returns in mk12

I actually really like Tanya's neck twist in MK4 It does feel like it's missing something though. I always thought it'd be neat where after snapping the neck three times, she back flips off the body, taking the head with her and maybe sending it flying, if not just stuck between her legs. I'd actually like to see that done

Sindel and Tanya have always been characters I like (Despite the way they have ruined the hell out of Sindel since MK9 SMH) I do wish they would make Tanya more than a lacky, and they need to do more with the Jade/Tanya rivalry too. I loved that in MK Deception. I've always been neutral on Rain, but I love that my baby Prince was the inspiration for him. That upside down uppercut from Rain is so goofy and stupid LMAO! It's like he uppercut a Jenga tower. Wow, I forgot how bad Tanya's fatalities in Deception are. I remember just being happy they brought Tanya back for that game, but damn they could of done better than those trash fatalities. I did remember her only good fatalities finally showing up in MKX. Whew, that second Rain fatality from MKT is much better than that dumbass upside down uppercut. Ahhh yes, I will always love Sindel's OG scream fatality in MK3. It's so awesome and epic! Tanya's Kiss of Death isn't bad, but it's always been a knockoff of Kitana and Sonya's fatalities *shrugs* Just like Tanya, I'm glad they made Rain's fatalities better when he returned in the new timeline. I always loved the new way they did Sindel's screaming fatality, it's always interesting. She doesn't have any bad fatalities IMO. I always loved the way they did it Deception. Scream Queen is so good! Especially when she uses her hair to hold them in place. I love Rain's "Bubble Burst," I think that's one of his best fatalities. Like I said, Sindel just has such damn great fatalities! I love "Migraine" so much, I love how she blasts the side of their head out. I don't think it's Sindel's best, but I like "Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow" too. I've just always preferred her banshee screaming fatalities. I love "Edenian Drill," always been my favorite Tanya fatality. Such a unique way to take their heart, and she's a beast for how she just pats their intestines off of her lol. I don't mind #1 at all, I forgot about that Rain fatality. Brutal and cool way for him to use his water powers to kill the opponent. I love that he uses water as a buzz saw on the opponent. I still think Sindel should of had her own list, but great list Nick! I think this is one of my favorite lists you have done.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when you make the Quan Chi fatality ranking and see what you pick as the worse - I know the Deadly Alliance neck-stretch is an obvious choice, but there is also the second MK4 fatality where he literally just copies his opponent's fatality.

Hi Nick, First of all I hope you get well soon. Really enjoyed this list as I really like all three characters on it. I think Tanya and Rain particularly got better fatalities as the series has gone on. Having said that, I like Tanya's Neck screw fatality. It was very different to fatalities in Mortal Kombat 4. I do think she really shined in Mortal kombat X because I like both of them in that one. I think for the most part Sindel has had decent fatalities. The Hair today gone tomorrow is certainly her best and perhaps a contender for the number one fatality in this list. Rain had such a rocky start in his first appearance but picked up from there on. MK 9's offerings were a little goofy but still not bad. As for Mortal Kombat 11 I think Power wash was OK, but Eye-sol-ate is his best by far to date.

A merge of MKT & MK9, where they implement and recreate mechanics from each game, alter the rosters and possibly bring back 2 vs 2 as an option would be awesome. I don't mind playing neutral, but I believe mk games need run, not to the extent of MKX, where it's 95% offense, but somewhere in between would be great if doable.

Here’s my rankings for my second main, one of my favorite characters, Queen Sindel! Another great character who again has never had a bad design and unlike Rain and Tanya, she has NEVER had a bad fatality. I like them all! She’d better always have a good design and finishers because what they did to one of my favorite characters is unforgivable and absolutely disgusting and offensive. It is the worst display of character assassination in anything ever and there is no debate. Phew I nearly wrote an essay. Let me not rant about the horrible retcon. I didn’t let it stop me from playing as Sindel. Deep breaths. Ok the rankings: 1. Scream Queen (MK11) • This is a great fatality! For anyone who thinks I just hate MK11, here ya go. An MK11 finisher is at the top of my list and it’s quite impressive considering I love all these finishers so there was tough competition. Love the use of the hair grabbing the opponent in place while she melts their skin off! Feels like a mix of her Deception and 3 fatalities with an added element. 2. Migraine (MK9) • This one is short and sweet. Brutal and iconic. I love this fatality. It’s so iconic it came back in MKX when she attempted to finish Fujin with it and would have had Raiden not intervened. It also came back as an MK11 brutality. 3. Deadly Scream (MK3) • This one is so iconic. When you think Sindel, you think of this! This is her Spine Rip. Her Toasty. Her Kiss of Death. 4. Hair Today Gone Tomorrow (MK11) • Wow another MK11 fatality this high? It’s almost as if these fatalities where especially good to cushion the blow from the very high likely pushback the fans would have for that terrible retcon. Good fatalities don’t make up for completely destroying a character as well as a good chunk of the established lore but I digress. This one is horrifying, gross, unique, and awesome! I don’t know exactly how this is supposed to work but let’s not think about it lol. It’s an amazing fatality. 5. Mouthful (MK9) • This one is cool. I really like it but it’s just not as iconic as the other ones. Not much else to say about it. 6. Kwan Dao Kopter (MKD) • I like this fatality a lot. It’s unique for her using her weapon rather than her hair or screech. 7. Hair Spin (MK3) • This one is really good. I hate that I put it so low! I guess my reasoning is…idk. Guess I liked the others more haha. If it was another day this list could honestly be completely different. I really love Sindel’s finishers! 8. Sonic Screech (MKD) • basically what I said for #7 applies here. But I do have more of a reason for placing this low and it mostly just because she has so many other good scream fatalities. But make no mistake this is still good. Something had to be at the bottom and this one unfortunately took the spot.

I couldn't be a designer for these games. Because I wouldn't be able to help myself from making every single one of Rain's finishers based on a Prince song title! Force all of the opponent's blood to drain into their head until it inflates and turns horribly red and misshapen = "Raspberry Beret" Rain hundreds of water needles onto the opponent, causing them to explode into a bloody heap = When Doves Cry Rain dances and strikes poses as multiple jets of water shoot the enemy, taking chunks out of their body each time they're hit. Meanwhile, different colored strobes of lights shoot with each water jet. The final jet to deliver the killing blow is accompanied by this almost laser lightshow behind the enemy = Party like it's 1999 Creates a column of water to jet upwards,, engulfing the opponent.. then Rain starts spinning part of it with starts to twist the enemy until they rip apart = Let's get crazy I would do some junk like that every time!

I will separate these three characters because I love them all so much lol. Lets start with the Treacherous Tanya! Oh boy. Fatalities has not been her strong suit. At least she’s always had a good design in all the games. Lets start: 1. Edenian Drill (MKX) • This one is good. I really like this. I do still wish the “steal the heart” thing just belonged to Kano, but this finisher is really good so it gets a pass. 2. Bloody Boots (MKX) • Yea no surprise this one was next. I like it. I have one issue and it’s not even with the fatality itself. It’s the graphics. For some reason the burn effect is there. Almost as if they reused assets or something lol. They couldn’t turn that off? Anyways it’s a good fatality. 3. Neck Screw (MK4) •It’s fine 4. Torture Rack (MKD) • Not so fine. 5. Kneebone Knife (MKD) • pretty bad. 6. Kiss of Deceit (MK4) • No. Love Tanya, but no one rips off my favorite character in gaming.

Ok, this list was interesting: 20-Yeah... easily the worst and of course... MK3's goofy fatality signature status. 19-Can't blame you to put this one there, worse than her MK4 fatalities for sure, funny how you make KI1 Jago's out of combo Ultimate (AKA: No Mercy) look better while also mentioning how primitive that looks compared to this Deception/Unchained fatality. 18-Yeah... her worst from MK4, while unique way to do a fatal move, is pretty lackluster 17-Still bad, but at least is much better than no.19... after this one Tanya's fatals shine much better in MKX. 16-Despite being Sindel's worst is still really good overall. 15-Now this really makes use of Rain's power and doesn't have that MK3's goofy fatality signature status that much. 14-Simple but effective for the time despite being kinda goofy. 13-Tanya's touch in for the kiss of death... ok, not bad overall, and shines overall in MK4 standards. 12-Still kinda goofy like No.14, but even so is pretty awesome. 11-Nice way to change her scream into a energy ball, innovative to say the least. 10-Not bad for the prince... especially taking in mind that NOW they're doing it with his new powers. 9-The pacing is a little bit long but... I can't deny this one is nice because is a good way to torture her victim. 8-No.14 but much better in everything. 7-If No.8 already got the scream finisher better, this one goes to extra steps to make it more gruesome (and better yet again). 6-Nice use of his powers and that Queen reference really makes it go higher. 5-For how MK9 fatalities are, this one is really goofy (and despite that is still nice for MK9's standards) 4-While I like the MK11 scream more, this one while simplier is pretty effective and looks nice too (also let's give it credit to the limitations of the Ps3/Xbox 360 era compared to the Ps4/5 and Xbox One/Series in that regard, sometimes simple is better). 3-While in MK3 her hair was used to make her victim spin to their "deds", this one... my god, shines for how gruesome it is. 2-This Tanya finisher really takes her top spot, kinda simple but really effective overall with her victim in shock for the execution. 1-Our edenian prince really got the best treatment from being the one with the worst in this list and ALSO having a REALLY good one in the top spot, also that fatality end pose. If you still have one last list before the year ends... I have to wait any way to see who's next (single character or a group like this one).

Here’s my rankings for Rain. Another great yet criminally underutilized character who has also never had a bad design in any game. He’s one of my favorites and my tertiary main in MK11: 1. Bubble Burst (MK9) • This one is like the perfect mix of funny and cruel. I love every bit of this one. Great fatality. 2. Eye-Solated (MK11) • This one is pretty good. It’s a fun fatality. Why is Rain collecting eyes though? Ehhh I guess don’t think about it. It’s enough for me to hate this one. It’s very good. 3. When Lightning Strikes (MK3) • This fatality is awesome and I wish he had more lightning based fatalities. This one always reminds me that he’s not just a water bender. Always viewed him as more of a stormy weather god than just Hydrokinesis. His name is Rain after all. 4. Does it Sting? (MK9) • This is good…but Quan Chi already has a similar fatality. I like it tho. 5. Power Washer (MK11) • This one I am not a fan of. Firstly, the opponent is already dead after he blasts their face. Then he has a dumb Queen reference for some reason. He’s PURPLE RAIN! And he has next to no affiliation with Ermac, Smoke, or Reptile. Why do they appear again? Some stupid image from Twitter or something? Just a reference for reference sake. The pose at the end is cool but that’s about as much as I can give this one. Yea I never use this fatality. 6. Upside Down Uppercut (MK3) • What were they thinking? The answer is they weren’t.
