When a tutorial does the exact opposite of the title, which is explaining IN DETAIL, instead of compressing things 😍👍 And yes, some links, maybe by copy/paste are incorrect, the merch and splice ones too. Surely only a test, if we are clever enough to find the targets anyway 😁

You are amazing teacher, just bingewatching your channel. But the compression thing has my head in. Even though, I understand all the theory of it, most of the time I just fail to hear any difference aside from volume. In the video you were like "oh, I like this setting" but I hear the same thing :( I have a good musical ear when it comes to notes, but the compression situation drives me crazy. I feel retarded.

The idea of a "glue compressor" is just silly. A compressor is a compressor. Any of them can give you the colored glue sound for the most part, unless it's just junk or intended to be super clean. The "glue compressor" thing is from old industry dudes who continue to believe myths.

@@els1f There are tens of ableton tutorials that explain this concept better and more succintly. This video is redundant and more than that it's negligent in it's presentation. I wouldn't have left a comment if this wasn't promoted on a facebook page. Why would you make a video on a subject that is expertly covered on youtube, do it longer and worse and then also promote it, showing that you're kind of proud of your subpar work. I came here from clicking on that link, I got annoyed by this girls attitude and left a negative comment to acount for that. My worldview ? I don't think I have a worldview to be honest.
