LNA deserves a whole section in so many educative channels for music producers. She's demonstrating once again that she's able to teach in a really simple way some quite complex content. LNA not only does audio stuff like many others: she's a reference, as a female producer and she is a continuous source of motivation, instruction and inspiration. LNA is fun and very good at explaining audio stuff in an unique way.

LNA does Audio is the best KZfaqr for everything Ableton live. I learned a lot from her tutorials and my transition from FL Studio to Ableton is much easier because of her.

So many youtubers don't explain things properly, or they speak so fast you can barely understand them. This is hands down the most understandable explanation of compression. I'm sure LNA could have gone deeper into more complexities, but that wasn't the purpose. She is a born teacher!

A correction in the video @4:50 :- its the other way around. Exactly opposite, i.e. _- _*_Input Lvl_*_ on the horizontal aka X,_ and _- _*_Output Lvl_*_ on the vertical aka Y axis respectively._ Just thought I should mention it since I was trying to make sense of it from what she had said and I couldn't and then I was almost certain that its gotta be the other way around. Nice tutorial though, good work folks.

Is what you say at about 4.54 correct? - The Live manual (and help/Info view) says input level is shown along the horizontal access, output the vertical - but my graph reading ability is quite pathetic so perhaps I just don't get it.

What is PRD on ableton simpler at the bottom, its like compression but it says its oversaturates the sound?? What does that mean? Is it almost the same?

With Attack why does the transient get louder with a faster time? I thought since we are doing gain reduction that it would be quieter quicker in the transient with a fast attack and louder with a slow attack?

What's hilarious is that I was looking for good compression tutorials. Then I saw this in my recommended's 🤣🤣

Don't know much about mixing, but could you, in theory, put a high threshold and ratio to cut out any abnormally loud "s" sounds in live audio. Or is there a different way to do this?

Hold up. A 4 to 1 ratio does not compress anything over by 4db x 1, every 1db over the threshold is compressed by 4.
