My name is Dr Sarah Tonks, and I'm an aesthetic physician based in Knightsbridge, London. I have degrees in both medicine and dentistry, and diplomas in cosmetic science and dermatology (I've got a bit of an education addiction🤓) and have been practicing medical aesthetics for over 10 years. I've been featured in Tatler, Hello, Vogue and on ITV's This Morning and Channel 4's Bodyshocker - but I still have so much to get off my chest, so I decided to create this channel!

A suggestion would be that we see the patients not only in identical light and brightness in before and after but also actual footage with them moving their faces and smiling. From all angles. There's very little you can detect in a straight on image lit from the front-light from above would be a lot more revealing- and sometimes you can barely see a difference! On prophilo Id say that it sounds amazing in theory but really can't see any benefit that justifies the cost if I'm honest. Again that might be different in reality and in more wrinkled skin after two sessions rather than just one and in skin that looks pretty flawless to begin with. It would also be helpful to state the exact amount of filler per area as you go along injecting.Thanks for all the info!! xx

Dr Tonks, you are amazing! Thank you for all the hard work and dedication in these videos. The amount of knowledge one can gain just listening to random videos of yours is insane! I know most treatments you show and available in general are for face fillers and Botox. However, body skin treatments are rarely shown. Can we use fillers, dermal threads, etc.. on the body to help improve skin texture, tone and appearance? Age, health condition, weight loss, hormones, etc... have the same impact on the body as they do on the face but I feel this is a topic that is more rarely spoken about. Surgery is definitely an option but why go that far if one can benefit from a less invasive option. Much love xx

Dess Ivanova hey yes that’s because my background is maxillofacial surgery so I tend to stay above the clavicle! You can use these treatments on the body yes, but for a lot of people the expense is not proportional to the benefit gained. It’s also cold over here so not many people ask for body treatments 🙃

Question, can you over use the product,. Instead of using 1ml per side, use 2? I’m taking my mom today and the dr mentioned her lines are deep. Has never done anything to her face at all..

Another great video as usual. I’m really excited to see your new format changes to the in-clinic videos! always great to see people improving already good things. It would be interesting to see you review plastic surgery like BBL and Lipo before and afters. And more males getting injectables as always :)

It’s made my skin feel amazingly plump and hydrated, my skin has been flawless since having prohfilo by dr Sarah. It’s really something you notice in person, my skins no longer dry and my cheekbones have also got an extra pop to them. You really can’t see it well on the pics but trust me, you glow after having this done.

I honesty did not really see a difference in any of the before and after pictures. I think if any differences I did see was due to lighting and the angle. But great information regarding Profhilo.

It would appear that it only made a difference in those with actual bad skin ~ subtle thou it is ~ it did make a different in the 2nd to last patient

I have had viscoderm hydrobooster one day ago and the area above my lip is protruding further than my lip line vermillion border and with no difference to the vertices lip lines just a bulbous area. Is this normal and will the bulbousness return to normal. Not with you it was at a different clinic. 🙂

Could you please address the side effects of fillers and or the reports of stroke and blindness. I have had fillers in the past but then heard of stroke and now I'm scared to do it again. It is something that an occur in anyone or is it the error of the injector? Thanks in advance.

pj 596 it can happen in anyone, there are some things we do to try and minimise the risk but can never be 100%

Dr Youn on YT has some great videos of the dangerous areas of your face to do injections. Dr. Dray on YT mentioned there is a new cannula that can detect a blood vessel and doesn’t let you accidentally inject it. It’s pending FDA approval in the U.S. if you’re afraid of the risk of blindness avoid the area between your eyebrows.

Old video so you might not notice the comment! Just wanted to ask if this has the risks that come with filler?. For example hitting an artery or ocular occlusion. Scottish fan, will get to visit you yet!

There is still a risk of blindness with Profhilo but because it is not cross-linked this risk is greatly reduced and also the injection areas that are typically used for this product also are low-risk. Not sure if you've seen it but I did a video all about blindness with 2 amazing oculoplastic surgeons on my channel and we get really into this topic! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 See you down South sometime!

I wouldn’t use it there is absorbs too much water and you would look a state for 3-4 weeks. Sunekos 200 or Performa better for this

How Prophilo compares to Volite? Which one is your favorite?

Diana Stoica very different volite is more small injections, Profhilo is just 5 big ones, different. Volite better for individual lines. They also have hydroboosters available which is like Volite but from the Profhilo manufactures

No Volite is cross linked and this isn’t. You inject in a different way as well so small dots of Volite whereas this is larger boluses

I'm was considering Profhilo but I have to say, I can't see any difference in any of those before and after photo's. not even a subtle difference - not just on this video, I've watched others as well. You can get a better result and a glow with a serum

I had profhilo last week and I’m freaking out it’s plumped out my skin but made my face look fat almost... is this going to go down anytime soon? I’m so confused by all the comments saying nothing happened for them... why has it done overtime on me

The plumping effect is likely due to hydration + swelling so when the swelling subsides you will see the final results- how is it now?

Well it doesn’t work for everyone and also the expectations we have of treatments can also be different- some people are happy with a very subtle result, others are looking for something more punchy

@@jofiareluterre4661 better than nucleofill.... If there is, I don’t know what it is! It depends what you mean by work I suppose, maybe you have volume loss that should be addressed with fillers, maybe it’s surgery, maybe improving skincare- not sure!

Thank you for another wonderful video. I would like you to use one product on 1 area and go a little slower. Or 2 products on one area but slower. You speak so quickly it's hard to follow sometimes.

I've had profilho done 2x now with dr Sarah and I can attest it's defo worth it. I love the results in skin texture. I'm 34.

David Coronel the result is very subtle, doesn’t show well on pictures at all. It’s a gateway treatment, not like having regular fillers. Most patients swear by it!!

Given its £450 per session and you need 3 sessions that's £1350 and from what I can tell almost zero difference. Some things in this industry I feel just don't make a big enough difference to warrant the price. It's like what are you actually paying for?!

Profhilo is a tricky one to show results on video because the volume and contours of the face remain the same. These injectable moisturisers change the way in which the light catches on the skin- ask someone who's had it done and see what they say. It's a very popular treatment at our clinic but I understand where you're coming from though.

Will this achieve the desired results? I'm struggling to find much information on profliho being a good tightener. It seems the majority of the information is in relation to its skin glowing benefits...

profhilo is the most disappointing treatment I ever have made.. profhilo lie to his customers and rob them as well .. it is a very very expansive treatment but profhilo brings nothing at all .. furthermore the laboratory do not answer to customers' questions about the no result either so we think it is a scam ... we're looking forward to seeing a new reel global treatment with real effect and long effect ... like your channel 💕💕

Very tricky to show the difference with these kind of injectables because theres not any volume being added... it's more the way that the skin catches light and gives you a real glow. I know what you mean though!
