i'm an oilers fan so i'm forced to hate the ducks bc of the series in 2017 but the way getz yelled "hey!" when he realized drysdale scored was just a "wow" moment for me

From a Bruins fan, the culture looks tremendous in Anaheim right now. Definitely big things to come in the future. Can’t even express how crucial having vets like Getzlaf for player development no matter how highly touted the kid might be

This is why I don’t want Getzy to leave Anaheim. Tremendous role model to the young players on this team.

We have no G-LAF replacement yet , sad the day he goes. Who would we get ? We need tall , big , talented , and not too old center. They don't grow on trees.

I think you and many others don't get the reason why they sent him down. They moved him down to play Center AND so that he doesn't play 27 NHL games this season. Because if he would, he would be a UFA a year earlier. Like this he plays at least in the AHL and he's doesn't reach UFA status till a year later. It's very well possible that they get him up with 9 games left, then he would play 26 games. It's that simple. It isn’t because of how he played and that was clearly communicated by the Ducks. It's definitely not a flawless move: for example they could've played him Center in the AHL from the beginning but he also played Wing at the World Juniors so he maybe then didn't have enough time to get back to Center that fast. (He played his last game at Center over a year ago.) Still the whole back and forth could’ve been avoided if he played center in the AHL this Season

its part of the Plan they want Z to be an elite Centerman

@@HelloThere-oq3vc What they really should have done is kept him as left wing in the nhl for all 26 than move him down to center for the remainder of the ahl season. He than could go for a championship with the gulls and get extra experience at center. Still a stud no matter what.
