I love how they were sticking with the same tune throughout the 90s and then in 93 they just threw a curve ball with the centris and then went back to the normal tune 🤣

You mean the PowerMac LC Pre-Screen chime? Yeah, that was when the screen didn't turn on. However, I think other Macs had multiple crash chimes, too. I don't know why those weren't included either. I also think the LC Pre-Screen chime was also used in most PowerPC Performas.

0:58 that crash sound is used when it crashes during the startup, it shows a sad Mac with a black screen in the background. You can actually trigger this yourself, just use the keyboard shortcut to the command panel while it starts up! (PS, it only works for computers around 1995.. I think.) (I also think that's what it's used for)

2:50 The PowerBook 5300 crash sound has a very slightly lower pitch than the other crash sounds from circa 1990 - 1995. It also has the longest of those.

Where's the PowerMac LC pre-screen chime? This would occur if the system crashed before the screen turned on, instead of the regular "Chimes of Death" melody that was in the Macintosh LC.

Windows never adds sounds when your pc crashes and if there is sound, then the sound freezes.
