While watching some of these and seeing the mindgames going on, as someone who has a good grasp of most all these loops, i think the easiest way to avoid these mindgames is to simply remember: dont give yourself more room than you need/deserve. I dont see enough survivors who respond to mindgames by waiting at the right spot for the killer, people are quick to run so they have much more room than they need during the chase, sometimes giving the killer some ground is your best interest

I actually tried that shack mindgame where you just stand still outside at the corner of shack without showing your red stain for like 5 seconds and it actually worked. Throwing out mind games every once in awhile really throws survivors off

Great guide I have one issue with the shack guide tho: You didn't describe the most basic way to run the shack where you vault the window and then run to the door that is farther away to actually use it a little longer or even save the Pallet, running straight to the Pallet after vaulting the window brings you in a rather sticky situation actually

Haven't watched it yet but this is EXACTLY what I need. I know how to run some tiles but at others I get lost and end up running into the killer by mistake/camping the pallet and wasting it.

For anyone who wants to understand basic tiles a bit better I really recommend to watch Crush’s video which is called “how to loop basically everything” or something like that. He explains it a bit better and uses more visual examples

I am new to the game, only about 7 hours on record and just prestiged my first character (claudette) and the feeling of looping a killer for the first time was absolutely amazing. I kept a xenomorph on the long-wall gym and surrounding terrain for enough time that 3 gens were popped and they instantly left the game. Best feeling I've experienced so far as a new player.

Something I found to be very interesting after thinking about it for a while, the loop you called "Broken Truck" at 27:06 is actually a trash truck or dump truck, whatever you wanna call it (the truck that comes around your house to pick up your trash/recycling). That's why there is so many chunks of small debris in the "inside" of it because you are looping through the truck into the outside. The window is where the mechanism is to pick up your trash barrels and dumps them into the back of the truck.

I wish they reached looping in the tutorials with bots, would be so cool Like in the start the killer just tries to follow you, jumps windows everytime you also jumps, and instantly breaks pallets Then he also becomes more experienced Like going back and fourth, hidding red stain, mind gaming And then the tutorial ends after all gens pop (that is actually just a thematic timer) Would also love if dbd added a tutorial for each killer and some perks Like how to play Huntress better by having a range training etc. not really detailed but to start off the player with killers

Something that I feel like was forgotten about killer shack and its variants is that on dead dawg saloon the killer shack has a breakable wall in between the two lockers.

Otzdarva, explaining IRL tiles as he runs away from the cops (he's on a 49 killstreak with his replica Trapper machete): This fence is a really common tile, often at the end of alleyways - be careful, as you'll see, because trapper mains like me can camp the corner and get a sick moonwalk hit, like so.

the best piece of advice for labyrinth gyms is just to hold w and leave the moment the killer starts mindgaming. remember, it's just as much of a labyrinth for them too, so they're probably getting lost and mindgaming themselves while you're running away

thank you very much for making this, it helped me figure out certain things i did not know even though i played for a year, first LT wall without resilance and spine chill it kinda sucked for me but i guess i was looping it the wrong way so its user fault xd, secodly those scattered loops i allways avoid them because i did not know how to properly use them with pallet and window, many times i got hit during them so ya i had no clue the strong point of them was to lock the killer in to get a stronger lead, also did not knew you could see though that fat escavator so it will help massive, i also did not knew you could vault from outside inside the bus never tried but probablly i though so since it didn't work in the orther variation, and lastly i did not know house of pain was that usefull, i could loop around it lightly but if it had that many variations it can be very handy, but i think overall all of them will help me in my future games as survivor, except that my time on chases allready extends 1m on all killers and that i get tunneled out of the game asap xd

I found this so helpful, even a year later!

One thing about the harvester, the right side vault.. Killers used to be able to reach the outer side of it by lunging.. The lunge is no longer required, if you do it at the proper angle, for a free easy hit on the survivor. The lunge was great to cut them off, but it meant going through the missed hit delay, and they could vault back or run off. Being able to do that "jump" without a lunge means you can score a free hit pretty consistently.

How on Earth did he not mention that killer shack pallet should generally not be played when basement is present? Save the god pallet for people hooked in the basement. Only play if it saves you from a basement camper like Trapper, Hag or Bubba. Disappointed Otz, you’re one of the most if not best people for information in this game. I enjoy all of your content
