You didn’t mention Lapis’s new shoes symbolise her no longer being a prisoner. In some cultures, being bare foot is the trait of a prisoner. This was was why Lapis is the only gem we’ve seen have bare feet. Even after she escaped the mirror and started living on Earth, she still felt trapped. Shoes are a sign of someone earning her freedom. The shoes are physical proof Lapis has now let go of her past and is moving on.

Actually, for me, the fact that Peridot's visors being distracing totally makes sense. We all know how attention-seeking she is and those visors are just right for her. Oh and my favorite reformation's probobly Lapis, too

I think amethyst having the hole in her shirt also shows that she's proud of being an amethyst despite her being smaller, and not necessarily a tie to her fusion, although I do see where you're coming from

Amethyst was always covering her gem and covering most of her body, probably because she was ashamed because of her gem because of her being "overcooked." In this new form, her gem is finally all out there. She's not ashamed of it anymore or trying or cover it up, rather she's showing it off!

Pearl us my favourite. It's simple,stylish , and it rly shows volumes for her development. She has finnaly adopted the earth culture she resented for so long and finnaly detached from the balerrina/ servant looks from her pink days. She finally showed that she moved past rose and finnaly moved on completely. Plus the callback to last one out of beach city is amazing. A second favourite would be lapis. She is full blow shounen protagonist with those pants and sandals

My favorites are Pearl and Lapis's outfits. I love how they learn to ditch any feminine style that tied them to Homeworld and be who they want to be. It kinda reminds me of me and my family. They're very traditional and loves putting me in dresses when I just want to be in comfortable clothes like pants and shirts. It's like I'm showing them that I'm my own person and I don't have to meet their ideals.

I think my favourite is Pearl’s, all these new forms have great style and symbolism but that 80’s style jacket is adorable!

Pearl! I love how casual her new form is, its such a message; "I belong to me, I do it for ME", and I feel like the time when Pearl felt most in charge of her identity was when she was wearing the leather jacket and flirting with Mystery Girl. I also love her reaction to her fusion with Steven, like it took her by surprise and she just leapt at him, hugging him. Steven's no longer a burden that Pearl feels she must protect out of her past obsession with Rose, but an ally, and a dear friend. It was so touching :D

I like to think that Lapis finally wearing shoes is a huge improvement on her

one thing i noticed with garents new visor, is it was the opisite of the old one. if you where to combine them they make a full star. to me that kinda shows shes now fully accepts the role of leader more than the torso part

To me the garnet visor make sense. She has three eyes and it shapes it up as a star.

I really like Garnet's new half-and-half outfit, because before I always felt like her outfit had too much Ruby in it and no Sapphire- It was too red. But now it's perfectly balanced. (Also Lapis is my favorite 👌)

Pearl's is my favorite, just because of how much it says about her. Garnet and Amethyst haven't changed all that much during their time on the show; it's arguable that they just became more definitive versions of themselves. Amethyst shook her self-loathing and Garnet has reformed of Ruby and Sapphire's own choice rather than because of someone else, but they haven't undergone any massive character shakeups. Pearl, on the other hand... Pearl is LIGHT-YEARS away from the prim, proper, anxiety-ridden "Nanny Gem" she used to be. She doesn't live in Rose Quartz or Pink Diamond's shadow anymore. The attachment she formed with her, either romantic or subservient, is now in her past, and doesn't dominate her present anymore. Like you said, she's free now, and she's coming to realize that she's ALWAYS been a badass, "Strong In The Real Way" (as the games like to remind us, over and over again), and she's embracing that identity. Pearl doeesn't have to be subservient to anyone anymore, because Pink is gone, Rose is gone, and Steven's grown up. It's such a huge change, such a fundamental shift in her character, and her new form takes full advantage of that and I love it.

With all of amethyst previous forms, her shirt always covered up her gem, only usually having a little bit of her gem showing. With her new reformation though, her gem is on full display for everyone to see. I think this represents her not being ashamed of herself anymore, and she's proud of who she is.

I loved the idea of from "fancy" pearl into "cool" pearl with a jacket!! It somehow visualizes a great character development.. i mean, we hated her being salty and bitter and all in the first seasons.. and transforming her character to being cool is indeed a great animation choice! I stan Rebecca Sugar! Anyone can change!!!!

This wasn't mentioned, but I love that Amethyst's gem is now on full display, representing her newfound confidence! In all of her reformations before this point, her gem was halfway covered! edit: Oh! Another thing! Pearl's finally rid of her skirt/flowy clothes!! You could see the progression of her letting go of that homeworld standard, starting with her first reformation after becoming a Crystal Gem, but she's never been without a piece of her reformation outfit resembling a skirt/dress before!! Not to mention, whenever Pearl dresses in human clothes, she tends to go for a more traditionally masculine look (eg. the suit from Mr. Greg and Reunited, the jeans and leather jacket from Last One Out of Beach City, the nice shirt and slacks from Restaurant Wars), so it makes sense for her to finally ditch the frills! An exception to this trend, however, is the sundress she transformed herself into in Beach Party! Overall, tho, (and this is just me blabbering on about Pearl bc I love her) Rainbow Quartz 2.0 being more a more masculine fusion makes a lot of sense when you consider how comfortable Pearl finally is with her choices in clothing! (really tho just ignore me bc I'll blab on about RQ 2.0 next; they're wonderful and I love them so much)

I feel like Garnet's visor might be her embracing the fact that she's a fusion all the more. It highlights her third eye, whereas other visors kept that third eye hidden from people. But, fav is Pearl. She be rockin that jacket.

Tbh i think Lapis reformed with sandals because Steven wears sandals too and he change her life by freeing her from the mirror.

Peridot's outfit is inspired by the gems: garnet's glasses, pearl's top, and amethyst's pants.

I love Peridots because remember when she was freaking out about where she would put a star. So it made you think she would have a small a lid not noticeable star but she went all out

I think if you look at Peridot's visor and the shape of her hair, you get an almost abstract complete star. Her hair fills out the other points of the star. While I agree her being sad would look funky with the vizor, it does show how much she's changed.

I’m surprised no one caught that Amethyst is finally showing her complete gem. White diamond stated insecurity as Amethysts flaw. And looking back to how it was always partly covered and how she’s suppose to be as big Jasper or Rose since they’re all quartz. She’s finally confident with herself and thus no longer covering her gem and that makes me so proud and happy for her 💜

I love how periods butterfly glasses combined with her hair makes a STAR!! ⭐️ lol her head is a huge star now haha so befitting for her!

Definitely Lapis.I think the dress represented her as delicate when she is actually a bada$$ Peridactyl's form however was showy just like her (but not in a bad way)

Garnet's form is now completely symmetrical, which it was moving towards after her second form when her pants became split in the middle instead of at one hip. Her cotton candy form was even more asymmetrical. That's probably representing the fusion becoming more stable as Ruby and Sapphire worked out the dysfunctional parts of their relationship.

I like how when you mentioned how sunstone was based of the 90's, how sunstone used a word similar to what the teenage mutant ninja turtles use, who the original turtles debuted in the 90's. the turtles had cowabunga and sunstone said bungacowa

Concept #1: Peridot and Garnet's fusion has a fully star-shaped visor, and the slightly goofy visors on these new forms are simply the setup for something immensely badass. Concept #2: Peridot and Garnet's fusion can summon multiple giant fists (Garnet's weapons) and throw them at people telepathically (Peridot's metal powers). Admittedly this is a bit of a stretch since the Gems' weapons are probably made of light, just like them, but I still think it could be possible.

I agree that Lapis’s new form is really good as it does represent that now she is free and as it is more casual it shows she feels more at home on Earth with Steven and the gems but I definitely love Pearl’s new look just bc it feels more like she’s getting used to not having to hide things and it’s more open than the “uniform” which did kinda hold her back from being her. Overall I really love these new designs!

What I think their new forms represent: Lapis: Her form represents letting go of the high standards for important gems on homeworld, and any regrets about her past. Peridot: Her form is heavily inspired by the crystal gems, this also shows her new point of view about fusion, taking inspiration from Garnet’s visor. Amethyst:This form shows her big accomplishment with confidence from her time spent on Earth. Now showing her gem fully hinting that she isn’t ashamed to be who she is. Pearl: She is now able to relax. Sporting a more laid back look, knowing that she can let go of all the secrets she hid, also accepting that Steven is not his mother. Garnet: This outfit is Ruby and Sapphire all the way, representing the balance between the two and their love. Also her form is now a full star, joining the rest of the new forms as their leader. 💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎

I wanna see ruby and sapphires new looks! Sure it's great seeing everyone else and garnet, but we didn't get a glimpse of them. 😓 I know garnet is made of there love, but I'd like to see more or them and to know them individually. Open them up more, see sapphires habits, or have ruby be in aw seeing puppies. I think it would be really great to expand on them. (obviously people aren't understanding 😓. I'm saying I wanna see ruby's reaction to a dog. I know she has most likely seen one before, but what are her thoughts on them? Does she love them or dislike them? And of she does love them does that mean she get super happy seeing one or petting one? Just because you've seen a puppy does not mean you stop thinking they're cute. 😒)

Vox, my fave is Amethyst - then Pearl. I really liked your explanation of Lapis's form. It made a lot of sense to me that the dress ties her to Homeworld. The new form suits her as well. I think she's tied with Pearl on second...Also, Sunstone is my favorite new fusion. And Blue is still my favorite diamond. This special rocked so hard! The hiatus will be torture though... Can't wait to see more theories from the Roundtable!!!

I honestly love all the redesigns, but I’m having the hardest time with Garnet and Pearl’s redesigns, and I blame it solely on the fact that it’s change. Both Pearl and Garnet have had the same designs for years, and I’ve become attached to them. So with how different the changes are, my brain is basically like “Hiss! Change! We don’t like change!” I’ll get used to them eventually I’m sure, it’s just a matter of getting used to it. I never had this problem with Amethyst though, and the only reason I can think is because I was used to her design changing as she got poofed the most, so I never got attached to a particular design like I did with Garnet and Pearl.

I also love Peridot not covering her gem with her visor. Kinda showing how she was once defensive and had built a wall around herself and now she’s open and trustful of people around her Plus Garnet is finally (minus the color of course) symmetrical in design. A perfect balance of Ruby and Sapphire

Peridot's new form has got to be my fav. When I first saw her in that form I jumped out of my bed, she looked very refreshing and cool. From the visors to the stars on her outfit, it was overall a very great look for Peridot now she looks like a real crystal gem..

Still curious and waiting to see if Sapphire also reformed into a super saiyan like Lapis........

I have to disagree with you, Garnets visor is not distracting. I love it and I understand Peridots is a bit over the top but Garnets outfit is OP. An her visor is perfect. Other than that I must say Lapis’s outfit was my favorite, as a whole she’s grown so much and she’s even came to help Steven out on homeworld, you would have never expected that from the lapis we New before. I’m proud of her and her new form.

I love Lapis' outfit because now I can finally cosplay as her, but my favorite is probably Pearl's. It's good to see her throw off the last vestiges of Homeworld and of the past and finally move forward. I like how the redesign shows that she's healed from the past, which I also think is part of why I love Lapis' design.

I ♥️ Peridot's new form! It just comes to show how she changed from being a Homeworld get to being a full on Crystal Gem.

My favourites would have to be Lapis and Pearl. Mostly because they're my favourite characters, but also because it represents just how much they've both gone through and how much they've developed. In my opinion those two have the best story arcs in the show. (My third favourite character is blue diamond btw, followed by Peridot)

i have a question if steven told greg about steven almost dieing cause of his gem got taken out how would greg react . . another question how does steven fuse with his own gem was a lil bit of his gem left in his dna making it so he can fuse what happened with that like ya it was a loving moment and it's heartwarming i personally loved the moment but how does steven fuse back together with his gem, a theory i have is that like how ben ten is when he lost his omnytrix he still had the DNA in his body like steven did and mabye the reason he was able to get complete cause he was like how Ronaldo said pretty much what his oc would be, tiny little gems in his blood, but how it works with steven is that the gem power was in his body he just needed the normal power he had to walk and move so if you want you can use my theory so u can base a video off that i would love to be the one to inspire that your welcome like so roundtable can see this if you are questioning this too
