Man, Metal Slug 3 was the peak of the series. The amount of animations, diverse enemies and detail are unbeatable.

Most of the rebel army are only armed with knives and really slow grenades, they must feel like a miracle killing us, and an absolute shock seeing us respawn right back

Metal slug 3 was the first one I actually had on console and when I got nommed on by the red plant I clearly remember spending a good couple days jumping into attacks just to see the different animations. Truly a magical franchise.

It's funny how the enemy soldiers freak out when you respawn in front of them after killing you 😆

Just started replaying the games recently with the Metal Slug Tactics announcement that came out. Surprised to see how violent the game actually was, with all the screams of death and whatnot. It's not particularly gory or anything, but still pretty violent with all the blood and varieties of deaths, although a bit cartoonish. But still, didn't remember it being that violent as a kid.

After playing Metal slug my whole life...didnt realize the man eater pollen grew from the inside out. The animation was so fast for me now that I play back in slow motion, its horrifying

I remember playing metal slug 3 when I was really young (I wanna say like 4-5) and the only things I remember from it was the zombie level and all the characters. Watching this video was a huge nostalgia trip, and I'm just now realizing how freaking good and expressive the character sprites are.

Now, what we need is all Rebel/Morden Army soldier animations. Honestly the funniest characters in the whole series if you ask me, from their various dying animations, idle/goofing off animations, taunting animations, 'oh crap' animations...

Oh about time! A modern Metal Slug series Death Animation video from Banden! The Man Eater and Vine Seed deaths from Metal Slug 3 is one of my favorites, especially when Fio or Eri touches one of the floating Man Eater seeds! That death is the most strangest out of all in the Metal Slug series! I made three videos of it in my own channel since it is so horrifying, weird, and unnatural like the Acid Death ones! I was experimenting around in the Arcade Archive version of Metal Slug 3, in fact a single seed can kill two characters in one if they're close together back to back! They both burst into squirming mass of vines that immediately dies, since the seed grows Man Eater vines inside their bodies and burst out from their belly buttons until they get absorbed from it leaving melted vines as what left of their remains along with their hat/accessories and ripped vests...

When you think about it, these guys are badasses for having to survive all this stuff

Giant fish death is one of the best wtf moment of my youths. It was so funny I kept jumping into the water to replicate it.

This brings back so much memories. I remember saving all the grenades until I could get the character zombified on purpose, and use the "grenade" function only after that.

One of the best metal slug videos I love....not because of our favourite dudes and waifus dying but their death animations and their screams. The acid doesn't seem to hurt Eri and Fio skin that only their clothes melt leaving them naked causing them to scream in terror before dissolving into green acid puddles while Marco and Tarma entire bodies melt to only skeletons before they dissolve into green acid puddles as well. The crabs claws count as "cut by blades" animation just like when rebel army and ptolemaic army kill you with knives and machetes and Arabians, Japanese and Pirates swordsmen kill you with swords, the death animation "cut by blades" occurs with the Metal Slug 3 mission 1 and mission 4(maggot, crab, bug, snail, acid route) big crabs claws. You missed the "drowning in water" death animation and man/woman eater spore eating Ralf, Clark and Leona death.
