Game Intros & Finales

Bioshock is one of my favorite games series. I've played through all the games and I've edited the different endings for you. Some of the ends are very touching, as many of your comments show. The end of Bioshock Infinite is not easy to understand. To grasp the possible meanings, you must deal with the parallel world theory. But that makes the series so interesting and a little smarter than most other games.

"a city underwater (scoff) ridiculous." YOU WERE IN A CITY IN THE FUCKING CLOUDS.
@thefnafkid_8008
@thefnafkid_8008 7 жыл бұрын
MaisonCrouch Gaming just think about it, a city in the clouds is possible, but a city in the sea is extremely complicated because of the pressure on each buildings. A city in the clouds just needs to be able to fly, unless the clouds are extremely thick. A city in the sea will need to be built a special way. There have to be air tubes and the buildings need to be pressurized due to the water pressure the deeper you go. Submarines are made to go under the surface, but deepest a sub can go is 10,911 metres (35,797 ft) (Bathyscaphe) without breaking down, which still isn't the deepest the ocean can go which is 10,994 meters (36,070 feet). Also you would have to get rid of the water in buildings after the city is complete. Imagine how long and how they would have to do that. They can't build the structures on land because Rapture (as seen) is built into sea bed just like the foundation of your home and other buildings. I'll take hundreds or thousands of years before we have the technology and materials to make a underwater city. If I had the time, will, and intelligence I would explain everything, but I'm lazy and dumb to go ahead and do that. Btw this isn't a rant, just wanted to explain why a underwater city is ridiculous. I typed more than I expected lol

TheFNAFkid _ well look at reality... we still don't have any buildings in the sky at least in atmosphere... but we have buildings underwater

@orekihoutarou6107 7 жыл бұрын
Myraid There are certain materials that are glass-like, that were used in the construction of the Triton 36,000 called borosilicate glass. Surprisingly, the only thing impossible about Rapture were the stone walls of the city, as those would quickly erode. Also the genetic stuff was pretty much impossible, but that is true with the floating city as well.
@orekihoutarou6107
@orekihoutarou6107 7 жыл бұрын
Myraid A city in the clouds would have issues with heating, as it would be extremely cold, and there would be decreased air pressure making it more difficult to breath. So most of the water you see in the floating city should be frozen.

Skitto It was okay; it showed the rapture 'universe' from the perspective of someone whom previously lived there.. From a different perspective. I mean.. The initial bioshock was a closed story; it could've easily ended with that game and there to not be any more.. *I doubt you could've made a new game that fitted perfectly into what was established.* However, I appreciated more gameplay from the series and to see rapture from a different, more confident (the fact youre a big daddy, the intimidating enemies from the previous game) perspective. Even the most cynical of reviewers (namely Yahtzee) enjoyed the game.
@IronBoy-hf2lp
@IronBoy-hf2lp 7 жыл бұрын
To me, it was a pretty glorious story. It explored the nature of Big Daddies and rescued Little Sisters deeply, especially Little Sisters who were without a father in the first place. Mark Meltzer also made you hurt inside, when you thought about it. He dove into Rapture to save his daughter, and ended up being killed so that she could be free. I would harvest her to prevent her from the sorrow of the most caring figure (and possibly only family figure) in her life dying, but I couldn't d othat. And Delta brought to the table a guy who loved his daughter. I feel like this is what makes that Meltzer battle really hard-hitting: you;'re fighting a Big Daddy who serves as a literal father figure to their Little Sister, and to get them out alive one of you has to die trying to save them. It really hits home whe nEleanor sees you as a father, and you have to put down another father to save his daughter, and to progress deeper.

Not only that. Thinking about it the ending for infinite is basically a sum of two endings. You Escape with Elizabeth, Comstock keeps Elizabeth. And then you got The ending where Both are killed at the source. I just wish that there was a more satisfying ending. But I can live with this one. I wonder if they are gonna make another one with the origin of the Lighthouse and a way to stop the everlooping cycle of just the The Man,The City, The lighthouse.

Roast Beef Burial at sea one ending: When Comstock tries to get Elizabeth through the tear her head falls off, in a different universe her finger is the one that gets cut off. When the guilt was too much for him he went to the twins, the opened a tear giving him the option to go to Rapture and start a new life as a detective called Booker Dewitt. Therefore, stealing his life and setting off the chain of events that the whole storyline revolves around. Burial at sea two ending: Elizabeth comes back from the dead after the big daddy also attacked her, using her one and only life this time. Atlas aka Frank Fontaine takes Sally and demands the activation code for Jack, the protagonist of Bioshock 1. Elizabeth gets the activation code to get Atlas to give Sally back to her. But, as Elizabeth already knows Atlas is going to kill her. Atlas can’t actually read the activation code because it’s scrambled. So, he has Elizabeth translate it for him. When she does that, the whole Bioshock story comes full circle. But, in one SINGLE universe, Jack saves the little sisters and in that universe the circle is broken.

BioShock infinite was set in 1912 BioShock 1 is set in the 1960 and BioShock 2 is set a few years later. so if you play BioShock infinite, BioShock, then Bioshock 2 in that order then you'll understand how it all began. so to sum it all up BioShock infinite is really where the whole BioShock series started. it's kinda mindfucked but still its understandable. if you start from BioShock infinite and make your way down

here's a tip if you ever play any BioShock games always do the good ending no matter what because if you get the bad ending it kinda makes you feel like a dick. the game is based on players choice on how it goes . so if you do one thing wrong it causes conquences at the end. each game has 3 endings including dlcs. there's a good, normal and evil ending so its your choice to pick

BioShock 2: It's probably for drama, no way related to BioShock 1 / Infinite. However, Booker (in Infinite's ending) is killed because he realizes he's Comstock & Booker. When he took the baptism he became Comstock, but when he didn't he remained as Booker. That's why he's killed off before he was baptized in the first place so Columbia, Comstock and everything that happened in Infinite wouldn't happen in the first place. Booker in Burial at Sea: Episode 1, is the last-standing Comstock that wasn't able to successfully get Anna (Booker's child) because he decapitated her in the tear. Because he was guilty, he ran away to Rapture. The last remaining Elizabeth appears to get back at him, make him remember what he's done and kills him. He's killed off because he's the last remaining Comstock. Elizabeth is killed off for a very important reason. She finds what Atlas has been looking for - but she knows (because she can see behind the doors), she will betrayed. Why does she do it even if she knows she'll betrayed? Because she knows she can see the fall of Fontaine/Atlas regardless; and that the Little Sisters (Sally included) will be saved by Jack when she gives the Ace in the Hole. Without the last Elizabeth dying, the events of BioShock 1 wouldn't have happened in the first place. She's killed off so BioShock 1 can happen.

What made Bioshock 2 the best of the series is because it was the most human of the series, more than big names and showy ideologies, it looked into the fragility of the human heart and a humans ability to do good or bad. Delta, depending on how you play can be a guiding angel or a raging monster and each ending shows just how human are choices too. Delta at the end of the day is very much like us, he justs wants to make another person happy and did it without batting an eyelid

Every time I finish a BioShock game I’m stuck thinking about it for days, weeks, months... I haven’t cried from any of the endings because I almost never cry at anything (and because people I know were watching me play it and that’s just awkward to start crying because of a video game in front of people that would never understand the pain). I can tell you though, that my heart felt as though it was being ripped apart, shredded piece by piece, over and over again in a never ending cycle of misery. Even when I get the good endings I feel so empty because I had invested my life in these games; I felt as though I was part of their world and when they ended it felt like I was forced to go back to the “normal” world, where I sit around all day doing nothing except occasionally working on something or just eating food. I felt like the characters were my friends, my enemies, the people I loved and hated, and even for the people I didn't know very well, I still thought of them as actual, important people. I was and still am (and will probably always be) invested in the world of Rapture and Columbia and it's people, and I will never not remember the fun, the sadness, the drama, the feelings of this series.

Fireslice04 Ryan and Fontaine also would not have died the way they did. Maybe not died at all.

I love bioshock I finished all of the games except the first but seeing all of the endings again made me cry 😢 because while I was playing it felt like I connected with the main characters and seeing a lot of them die made me cry 😭

But it’s kind of heart warming to know that both good endings for BioShock 1 and 2 are canon

I loved how the series ended off right where you started. You go back to Rapture, right in the starting area of the first game, the end of the last game is right where you started.

I wish there was an ending where the main character, Jack, saved all of the little sisters and became their protector, and then went on to save all of the Big Daddies and finally restore the city, but then rogue Splicers escaped and attacked the outside world, triggering a police force, or even military conflict, or something, exposing Rapture to America.
