I love the fact Mattel is giving us actual train sets now rather than a 1 trick pony and track. As for the percy, to quote him in AEG "That's what I call Percy Perfect". His face is the main reason I'd be getting a this set. My only gripe with the set itself is that I doesn't include any normal straight tracks. Sure the points make a straight but it's not a stand along peice if you get what I mean. And $19! That's a steal

Yeah same - although some of the sets are a bit one trick (e.g. the Thomas and Kana race set)

I really don't understand how on the Thomas toy lines the printing is so different between the toys. You don't see that going on with the Disney Cars, Monster Trucks or Hot Wheels. I've now picked up quite a few printing error AEG metal engine toys, fuzzy paintwork, awkward line work, vague printing. If you like variations in errors it's a gold mine, but I don't see this going on with other toys. Yep where going to see 1000 different expressions on Engines now. looks like someone at Mattel has had a brain wave it's easily done with printing. Sad the railway station piece is so basic. But hey it's only a toy.

It's pretty okay for a playset, but the coach is reused twice in a row. Percy looks rather annoyed, than how very irritable Percy was in the classic seasons. He maybe naive and playful, but in the current show, he is turned into a wibbling coward and goes along with AEG Thomas' dumb ideas. this expression would be more suitable for Gordon, because we can empathize when he gets into absurd shenanigans.
