Nice that you have seen the differences between Gordon AEG Metal, but very strange how similar the faces are. Sad because with these toys the three major things are 1 shape 2 colour 3 face. As you said I have noticed the stock levels in many stores is bad, no filler came in after Christmas mind you I was not seeing the Thomas toys go totally empty shelves & pegs in my part of town. What I noticed was anything that's not the normal fodder was vanishing. That Techno Thomas 3 Pack with the Rubber Duck is near impossible to find now. Since Toys R Us failed the Mattel attention to detail with stock has been weird & unusual. Disney Cars diecast toys possibly suffer more Vs the Thomas toys.

That square dome piece is called a “Top feed” on a Stanier Black Five, and some great western locos

I’m glad Henry is getting merchandise, but the only way I’d consider this as good is if Mattel simply changed the face to make it look different from Gordon, but because they barely did anything it looks like Henry with Gordon’s face and it doesn’t look right (in my opinion)

Henry and Gordon look rather similar apart from the nose. That's pretty much why they get confused for one another.

Henry DOES have an entirely different printing, you can see the lines on hid cheeks are positioned differently

I like this model as a model but I don't like it as a Henry. Even though it has differences from Gordon it looks WAAAAAAAAAY too similar for my liking although that's an issue with the show not the model

I had a feeling Henry would be added since he's very similar to Gordon in shape (but I thought Mattel would wait until he either spoke or was mentioned by name in AEG, he's just a non-speaking background character in the show as of now). Also the shape of the eyes is also slightly different.
