I remeber being a bussboy in a restaurant, I was starving due I haven't eaten in breakfast. I was allow to have a free meal, so I ordered a breakfast taco to go. While working a man appear, he didn't look like a beggar but simply was a man that saw me in the eyes and tell he haven't eat in 3 days. I thought myself: So what?. But my nature is to help, even hungry I gave the man my taco and a drink. The next thing he did was thanking me and saying god bless you. At that moment I simply though I did the right thing, some time later the man was on a Red Cross bus donating blood, we talk he told me he's doing better, he got a job and settle down. He told me I helped him when he was about to end himself. I really wish to see him doing better, now I just hope he's doing fine.

When my dad was younger he always defended one guy from being bullied because he was always stuttering. About 20 years after that my grandpa was going to work by train and he forgot his ticket at home. The conductor was checking the ticket and when the conductor came to my grandpa he asked for his id. When the conductor saw his surname he asked him if my dad was his son. When he replied yes he let him go without any money fine or anything. Turns out it was the guy who my dad protected from being bullied.

My cousin was a doctor and had a old patient who needed medicine but couldn't afford it since he had other expenses coming up. My cousin told him it was fine and gave him the medicine for free. Months later the same patient gave back I think twice or triple the amount of the cost of the medicine because he was doing better in health and his job. It was on national television. This was quite a while ago so I'm not exactly sure how it went.

My father has always been a difficult man, but an honest and good man. Two years ago he came down with cancer, My work let me work from home /their house. I came across a nurse who was abrasive and clearly at her limit. I stepped in and helped my dad put his shoes on, and get dressed (she clearly didn't have the patience that day) She look at me an smirked, because she knew that I knew how to take care of my father. I spent the next 6 months watching my father fall apart and go through every emotion. Every time he was angry or would lose his temper I would calmly ask him to stop.... some times it took several times, but when he stopped and was listening again I would look him dead in the eye and say "I love you dad" It was the hardest 6 months of my life, but I would not trade it for all the money in the world.

A few years back, I went to the bank at night during the dead of winter to cash my paycheck. The bank was closed but the vestibule where the ATMs are is open 24 hours and when I walked in, I saw a homeless guy sitting on the floor. He was clearly there to get in from the -25 celcius weather. While I was doing my banking, the guy struck up a conversation with me and was telling me that he was down on his luck. I could tell that he wanted to ask me for some money but couldn't bring himself to but I could tell him really needed help. He was wearing like an old summer windbreaker with duct tape patches and looked like he hadn't eaten in days. I said to him, "is there anything I can do to help you? I don't have money to spare but I have a gift card for Tim Hortons, if you want, I can get some food for you" and the guy was so relieved that i said that so I went to the coffee shop across the street and bought him a hot meal and drink and brought it back to the bank vestibule. When I came back to the bank, police were already there as someone was nice enough to call police to help the guy so after he finished his meal, they took him to a shelter. Sometimes I still think about the guy and hope he was able to turn his life around. Anyways, to this guy, who shares the same name as a biscuit (we talked about that), I hope you're doing OK.

I know this is likely just an advertisement, but I feel like stuff like this does happen sometimes. When I was just a small kid I used to play with one of the neighborhood kids, who had a disability. A decade later I discovered that the parents of that kid paid for my medical treatment without my knowledge. I dont know if they did it out of sympathy, guilt or being a Lannister. But I gotta admit that really touched me. I guess the secret to making the world a better place is through small acts of kindness. The opportunity cost isnt too daunting, but it can be enough to make a big difference later on, kinda like the difference between 1 degree of error on a map multiplied by the distance travelled.

I look at it 2 different ways: In the initial scene, the viewer thinks the kid just wants to look up to say thank you but immediately runs off in embarrassment. In the final scene, the viewer realizes the kid was admiring the man's act of kindness and wanting to remember his face; he only started running to get back to his mother.

For example there was this old man who couldn't find his hearing device for his ear and although he was searching in the middle of a little mall when it was getting dark, no one stopped by to help him. When he asked me and I eventually found the 2 parts of his device after some time, he got so extremely happy ;-;

Seeing children being helped in dire times of their own whether that be from a real life moment or something on TV, but sometimes it reminds me of a time a child helped me with a random act of kindness I never would've expected from anybody. I haven't seen any of my friends from school ever since I graduated and got a job. I wasn't able to hang out or do anything as the job sucked up my entire life from what I was used to. I spent so many times on the job thinking I should just quit, but where would I go if it was the only job I could do. It nearly made me fall into depression as I felt incredibly lonely. Now I wasn't entirely lonely as I have a family who still loves me, but I miss everyone else I knew I haven't seen in years. I was walking around a corner on a job that has me to work outside and I see a group of 3. A mother, a son, and daughter, who was also the smallest. She wore a pink warm coat as it was during the time of winter. I felt I was just going to walk by and think nothing of it but... that girl came up to me and hugged around my legs. She just hugged me for no reason at all. I had no idea what to do except kneel down onto one knee and hugged her back the most gentle I think I have ever been. I don't remember how I felt during the moment but I just felt so surprised and refreshed for an odd reason I couldn't understand. The little girl went with her mother around the corner and I saw her wave at me with a big smile on her face. I stood there watching as she went and waved back with a smile of my own. I didn't move for what felt like a minute and not gonna lie, I felt like I would cry. I haven't quit my job and I haven't seen or recognized that little girl since. But ever since then I think that anytime I see children, I can't help but smile and wave at them happily, and even my actions put a smile on their faces. I'm not a guy who someone would just notice, I'm always in the background, but somehow this little girl I remember chose to see me there and hugged me even though I was just some random stranger trying to do their job just so they wouldn't get fired from the only job they could get. It felt like a relief from life. I couldn't be more thankful for that and I hope I won't forget it

There was a time I was living on the streets and clawed my way out of it. A year later I had a guy I vaguely remember from my time on the streets come up and started thanking me. Had me confused but he explained how watching me claw my way out of the street and inspiring things I said (I personally didn't remember) to him helped him get off the streets and get his life back. Even the smallest of things can help change the future of people. I remember when I was in my final year for my computer networking degree and I was working on my project, there was a bunch of younger students in the same lab as me, working on some exercises. We talked a bit and one said he was really stressed cause they had a test the next day and they just couldn't figure out how some practical stuff worked. I then got up and took one of the markers and started writing on the board, spending around 2 or so hours explaining to these students how to do these exercises. They thanked me and then all walked off cause it was getting late. Fast forward a year later where I'm doing my master's degree, I happen to run to one of the same students and he thanked me for all the help and advice I gave him and that now he would be finishing his degree with a distinction. Sometimes, even giving a bit of your precious time can have a big impact on someone's life and future

Reminds me of the first time I rode the bumper cars at the fair. We rode a few times and had one ticket left, my friends all agreed I should have it since it was my first time on it. As I was going back I saw a girl wave to her friends as they got into the bumper cars. She couldn't afford to go in so she turned and sat outside by herself. I gave her my ticket, she was confused at first but lit up with a smile soon after and went to join her friends. I've done some volunteering, raising money, collecting food, feeding and helping homeless people. But that moment still sticks to me in the end. That and one time a new homeless guy came to the little thing we set up, he ate his food and came back asking for seconds and wasn't so confident he'd get more food since there was 20 of them. We told him it's for them they can take as much as they want. His little burst of happiness still warms my heart.

I just got of from work and I felt so down after Americans yelled at me because I didn't give them the option they want. They said I was terrible at my job although I know I did my best. I understand that they are frustrated after spending 8 minutes on the phone to place an order but I knew that it's my accent that made them treat me like I am uneducated savage Asian. They don't realized the impact of what they say to people. How can Americans be so self-centered? After watching this video it made me realize how lucky I am to be Asian because we have feelings and we respect others feelings. Thank you for this wonderful video. It made me think that good things comes to good people and bad karma goes to selfish, self centered people.

I remember when I was homeless literally no one helped me, people even tried to fool me to steal the few things I had left. The only ones who helped me get back up were my uncle and my father. In that time, I learned that these stories are just that, stories and fantasies. And that most people really just care about themselves and themselves alone. I almost starved to death, became a drug addict to cope with the situation, today I am back on my feet, happy but with psychological problems and studying to become a doctor, just like the little guy in the video. I really wish people would have helped me back then, it would have restored my fate in humanity, now it's destroyed.

@NightmareBlade10
@NightmareBlade10 2 жыл бұрын
Because the chinese government knows no kindness, just like any communist government. You can slave away your whole life and all of your hard work gets taken away from you. You can distinguish yourself as a medical specialist or anyone with a professional background and you will be forced to toil side by side with everyone else, and if you disagree with them or speak out against the government you will be taken aside and your family will never hear from you again. It doesn't matter how hard you work, a communist government will always take that away from you and your family will br left starving with the absolute barest of minimums. That's why they want to promote "giving" to others so much, because they want to desensitize the youth into handing out what they've worked hard for. It doesn't matter where you come from: China, Cuba, Laos, North Korea. They all do the same underhanded shit to their people, but you can bet your ass that Kim Jong Un, Xi Jinping, Gorbachev and Fidel Castro will be laughing their asses of with their harem of female soldiers and all of the wealth they could possibly dream of.

@NightmareBlade10
@NightmareBlade10 2 жыл бұрын
@@christopherbrice5473 What exactly do you mean? Why would the people in this video need to be "saved" by free market capitalism? They're in Thailand, not China, and as far as I'm aware Thailand has never been communist economically, although politically their government has been treading that fine line between dictatorship and democracy for a while now. I don't think their issue is with their economic system (as they are a relatively developed country among their peers in SEA), but I think it's more of an issue of their governmental ideology and how they handle the freedoms and rights of their constituents. Thailand is pretty much devolving into a military dictatorship that wants nothing more than to restrict the rights and freedoms of their citizens. That's why there have been so many pro-democracy protests with calls to reform their government the past two years. The people of Thailand are tired of their government dictating literally everything they can and can't do and they are acting out in protest against their government in any way they can. No amount of changes to their economic system would "save" them as you would put it. The issues with their governmental are a lot more complex than the government wanting to take their cut and redistributing wealth. The only reason they aren't as bad as China or North Korea is because their government has so much instability with coup after coup after coup. The moment one of those regimes are fully able to cement themselves will be the day that Thailand will fall to communism just like their neighbor countries like Laos, Cambodia, or Vietnam. It's such an unfortunate fate because Thailand is a beautiful country and their food is really freaking good. In Bangkok they've already started running the food stalls into the ground with all of their restrictions, fines, and permits over the past four years, and that type of mentality has ramped up even more under the pretense of COVID regulations. It might seem like a minor thing to someone that's never been, but that was one of the best reasons to come to Bangkok for and little by little they've been pushing for more control in everyone's daily life like this.
